Question about Canon imageRUNNER 2200
Along with the nic, there is a DIMM that also needs to be installed. In addition to this you also need to upgrade the firmware of the machine to convert it from a copier to copier/printer.
The easiest way to check this is to go the additional functions menu > system settings > network settings.
Once in this menu you should look for a menu named "Netware". if the netware menu is not there, then either the DIMM has not been installed, or the firmware has not been upgraded, or both. In this case you won't be able to print unless you do the afore mentioned.
From here the easiest and cheapest way to proceed is to update the firmware to convert the machine to a copier/printer. This should be done by a Canon technician.
If this download fails, then the DIMM has not been installed either. All you can do in this case is source somewhere that you can buy this DIMM and get a technician to install it and update the firmware.
