Question about Computers & Internet
I HAVE SIX UPS ONLINE AND A COUPLE TIMES A DAY THEY ALL RANDOMLY START BEEPING 3 TIMES WHILE SWITCHING BETWEEN BATTERY AND A/C. THEN EVERYTHING GOES BACK TO NORMAL, WHAT EVER THAT IS. I FEAR THE WORST.
How long has this been going on. My reaction - from experience - is that your line voltage is actually falling below the threshhold of your UPS's, so their kicking in temporarily.
Usp's need a full 118 - 125 volts to be beep free. for instance that beep if you look at them crooked if the plugged into an inverter ,, like in a camper.
The may be something in your houe/building/down the street that has a big motor in it which takes the voltage down for a fraction of a second. That's all you'd need! Since all 6 do this it has to be the problem. If all 6 are failing THE SAME WAY, AT THE SAME TIME, you need to start playing the lottery! What do you think?
