That laptop came with 3 different internal WiFi cards.

You can look on the bottom of the unit, and it "should" have a sticker / label telling you which one is installed.

Once you have figured out which card you have, you can get the drivers for the card here, under " Drivers and utilities - MS Windows XP". the wireless drivers are at the bottom of the list from the dropdown box:

Hello, Please Help :-( I've replaced a broken monitor on Acer asprie 5570Z I would like to use it again BUT. the BIOS & Windows Vista Ultimate OS have passwords. I remember the BIOS password but not...

Download, burn to CD and then boot Hiren's Boot CD to change the password of any account on a Windows PC to one of your choosing. If you don't have a CD - you can put this on a USB flash drive instead - but you'll need to ba able to boot from USB. This is a free download and there is nothing to buy.

I *know* this will help - good luck! Please rate my reply, thanks!

I just put XP Pro on my Acer aspire 5050 and I downloaded all the drivers and my wireless internet will not work.

If You downloaded the correct wifi drivers and still didn't get wireless...
Choose a different series... Try acer aspire 3000 wifidrivers... then Acer Aspire 5000 wifi drivers, if still no luck... Choose the acer ferrari 3000 wifi driver.. or the acer travelmate 5530 wifi driver/..

I've had alot of Acer Aspire models.. including yours... and I too would have to jump around to different models to get all correct drivers,...

Install Xp on Acer Asprie 5735z

I'd reccomend backing up data and formatting your hard drive. Then install XP from disk and put data back on hard drive. You could use external hard drive or jumpdrive. It stands to reason that SATA works with XP, because the new computers I have seen have SATA and XP working conflict-free.
