Are there any print drivers in windows 7 that will allow a canon bj-30 printer to work

  • Anonymous Mar 28, 2010

Canon does not support the BJ-30 with Windows 7. Windows plug and play shows it as a device not a printer. It is black ink only.

Hii Good Day. I have canon inkjet printer BJ 255SP. i am not able to use it windows 7 and i am not able to locate the relevant USB driver. I am using Compaq Presario laptop

Try installing a Vista or Win XP in "Compatibility Mode" for XP SP2, it may just work, always install and run all software as Administrator.

Is the Canon BJ-30 a color printer?

Nope. Canon BJ-30 is not a color printer.
It is same as BJC-70 but only the color printing ability is not available in it.
BJ-30 is Black & White inkjet printer with max 360x360 dpi.
Hope this helps.

I have Windows XP and want to use Canon Multipass F50 printer. I have downloaded the print drivers from the Canon website. My system is recognizing the Canon Inkjet BJ S630 . I was given instruction to...

Are you sure you downloaded the right drivers, and the one's needed for your OS? Please check the canon link here. I would try reinstalling them just because your system is seeing the wrong printer to begin with.
The error message in the print queue can be troubleshot by using the windows help & support print troubleshooter (available from control panel>printers & faxes> printing troubleshooter) or using the windows event viewer to see what error code is reported and tracing the cause of the error that way...
Frequently in such a case uninstalling the printer drivers and installing them again will correct the difficulty...also see this MS link.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Canon bjc-3000 will not print

You said that the light blinks 7 times. It means that the BJ cartridge (printhead) is defective

Remove the BJ cartridge and check that the contacts on the cartridge and cartridge holder are clean. Make sure the orange protective cap and tape have been removed and reinstall the cartridge. If the error occurs again after you resume operation, you may need to replace the BJ cartridge.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

My Canon BJ i6500 is not working with my Computer

Any hardware that is made for a pc that you purchase, you go the the site of the maker, and usually you
enter the model# and get a list of options, pick download, and you should see the software driver
for xp and vista. When you install the software and it tells you to plug in the printer, windows driver installer will pop up and say found new hardware, would you like to install driver, most times you need
to shut this down, close the box so that windows does not install a windows generic driver.
When you shut down the windows box,the software should install the canon driver.

I was going to post the page that the driver was on, but the model# you listed does not show on there site, I tried- BJ I6500
BJI 6500
6500
and nothing come up, please check again to make sure that you are looking for the right model #,
hope you find what you need, and here is the main site.

Error message

The manual for the BJ-30 can be found here: http://downloadlibrary.usa.canon.com/cpr/pdf/Manuals/BJ30_user_manual.pdf On page 97 (105 of 183) it indicates your error message. Unfortunately, it does not give a way to resolve the issue other than bringing the device in for repair. I then came across this page which is a bit more descriptive with the error codes. http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/canon/bj/bj30.htm F12 is aPrintHead Temperature Error. It suggests trying to install a NEW print head. if the problem continues, the printer will require service.
