Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Battery Life I've had my V3 Razr for three days now and I've charged it each time the battery has completely run out, but the battery runs out almost 5 hours after I charge it. Is this normal? Any way I can extend the battery life without buying a brand new phone or having to charge it every day like I have been?

Same problem with mine!!!? The problem is I plug the phone to charge and after achieving a full charge, unplug it
and carry it with me during the work day and use it as normal (makes and
receive 3 or 4 call plus text service). At the end of the work day, the phone
is completely drained and unable to sustain a call. The problem is that front and main display never turn off, therefore draining the battery.

Yeah, that's normal.
Mine does that too.
It hardly lasts a whole school day.

I put my Droid Razr on charger but battery symbol comes on with ? mark. Won't charge or turn on.

1. Turn off your phone when it's not in use. If you're not using your Verizon Wireless Razr, then shut it off. Your battery will last much longer if you regularly do this.
2. Charge your phone less. If you charge your Razr nightly, then your cell phone battery won't last long. Try to charge your phone only a few times a week to extend the battery life.
3. Keep your Bluetooth turned off when you're not using it. Applications, like Bluetooth, are notorious for sucking the power from a cell phone battery.
4. Protect your Razr from extreme temperatures. Your cell phone battery lasts longer if kept at room temperature.
5. Discharge the Razr fully. Before you charge your phone, let it completely die. You can extend the life of the battery by regularly discharging and then fully charging it.
6. Leave the battery in the phone. Keep the Razr battery dry and free of dirt to prolong its life.

I have a RAZR V3 Cellular phone which I did not use for a couple of months. Now I am unable to switch it on (even when charging it). What could be the problem?

Ok, leaving a battery for that length of will run it down.
If you plug in the phone you could see the screen staying blank for up to 30 mins.

If the above did`t help.go to a shop where you can try a new battery.

I hoped i`ve helped.

Can i know the usual battery life of moto v3 after of charging...on my,,,its almost 2 hr about continious of use...

Alot of phone calls, texting and game playing will significantly drain the battery. But with out much use a fully charged battery could last up to two days.

This is my 4th new razr phone, and the same problem exists, very short battery life, no more than an hour or so talk time. i charged the battery for the recommended 12 hours first, and still the charge...

Just a suggestion, but if you leave your bluetooth runnung it wears out the battery faster, so you could try turning the bluetooth off when you dont need it to see if that makes a difference. It does on most phones.

Can't receive or send texts Razr v3

You definitely have a bad battery, if you let the battery run totally dead too many times it ruins them. You can get them cheap on-line. The text issue is carrier related, call them and have them help you test and make sure you still have messaging services on your account.

Software

Hi Socrates,

If you purchase and install the Motorola Phone Tools (http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/phonetools/), the software will update the firmware in your phone when you connect it and run the update tools. It walks you through this (and makes you do it) when you start the software for the first few times.

This may help with battery life, but also keep in mind new batteries can be found on eBay for less than a dollar. Also, a good tip with any rechargable device is to charge it completely when you first get the battery, and then drain it completely without charging it right after that. This helps to set the "life" of the battery, and will generally increase the lifespan of it significantly.

Motorola razr battery problem

The only solution is to get a new battery. When you do, charge it completely when you first get it, then discharge it until it dies. This will maximize the life of the battery.
