Question about Xerox DocuPrint M750 InkJet Printer
I have been given a second hand m750 which worked fine when I got it, just needed new ink cartridges. Now I have installed them, but it will now not print, all I get is the red light blinking slowly. I've tried putting the old cartridges back but the light is still blinking at me!! Help!
It sounds like the connections on the cartridges have some ink on them.
Remove the cartridges, and take a lint free cloth, slightly dampened with alcohol. Look for all the contacts and gently clean them. You may have to do that more than once to break down and remove all the contaminents from the contacts.
Then look through the memory on the printer for a procedure called Memory Clear, and perform that. That will remove any corruption in the printer memory/software. You will have to set the printer back up once you perform a memory clear.
Make sure you clean the print head area with the printer unplugged, not just turned off. Make sure all the power is removed.
