Question about GE GSH25JSRSS Stainless Steel Side by Side Refrigerator
My water dispenser keeps freezing up. It's happened about 8 times. I leave the freezer door open for 2 hours and it starts to work again. I keep the freezer turned down as low as possible. Please help. My wife is mad.
I would suggest that you turn the fridge temp up so that you are not cooling the fridge too much. However I suspect that you have a problem with your freezer section and the airflow is going in at the bottom of the fridge and not feeding in from the top. If you are competent I would suggest removing the back panel (lower internal) on the freezer section and checking that the evaporator coil (finned aluminium) is clear of ice. If you see an ice formation then you probably have a defrost heater out. If you defrost the unit then it will temporarily sort out the problem but I would suggest getting a fridge guy if your wife is getting mad already.
Hope this is of some if limited help.
