Re: name on paper
On the L900 there is a Data Registration button that can be revealed by lifting the flap that covers the one-touch buttons on the doc feeder. Press the blue 'data registration' button and you will have 2 choices 1. Tel Registration and 2. User Registration Select User registration. Then scroll through to 'user settings' then select and scroll through to user name, user number etc. Use the flaps down for the letters etc then press enter. The rest will become obvious once you get that far.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

This is probably an issue for the receiving fax. Try this:
1. Find a piece of paper and write fairly large:
Call me if you get this
Your phone number
2. Send this to a different fax machine at a different company and location. If it works, then attempt to send it to the same fax you initially attempted.
- If it works then your document may be too large and you will have to send it over a couple pages (or less at a time).
- If it doesn't work then there is a compatibility issue with either your or the receiving end fax machine. You will have to find an alternative fax number to a different model fax machine. Don't expect the company on the other end to just change out their fax machine but they may have another model at a different phone number.
Another alternative - you can attempt to scan your documents and send them by email but check with your and the receiving destination security departments.
By "roller fax" if you mean auto document feeder, so what's the problem? If you didn't see each of the 4 pages feed into the machine one at a time then what happened at the other end could be because something happened at your end. It's the reason we scan and email most critical documents today.
The document does not feed into the machine. Be sure the document is not wrinkled, and you are putting it in correctly. Check that the document is the right size and not too thick or too thin. (See document types and sizes on page 43). You cannot receive faxes automatically. Check if "TEL" appears on the right side of the display. In TEL mode, you cannot receive a fax automatically. Be sure the handset is seated on the cradle properly. The machine cannot receive faxes manually. Do not hang up the handset before pressing Start/Enter to receive a fax. The machine does not send anything. Check that the document is loaded face down. Send should show up in the display after it dials. Check if the machine to which you are sending can receive your fax.
Hi Fax machines are one of the oldest ways to send document information over a telephone line. Before e-mail became the most popular, and more efficient way to send documents, the fax machine was king. With time, fax machines have become sophisticated machines capable of many functions. No longer found only as a stand-alone machine, fax machines are included in copiers and printers. Faxing can even be done through computer software to a receiving fax machine or printer. So with such a complex machine there are several things that could go wrong. This article teaches you some basic troubleshooting steps.
If the faxes you are receiving are too dark or light, or ruined by streaks and splotches, play around with the darkness and density settings on your machine. Send a few test faxes until the quality looks good on your end. If the faxes continue to come out poorly, the problem probably lies on the sender's end. If you are the sender, and your documents are coming out badly on the other end, try cleaning the sensors of your machine with a damp cloth.
On Page 6-6 of the Operation Manual, the Settings to adjust the Sender's Name (which you can store up to 99 Names) is done through the TTI SELECTOR. On my machine, the TTI SELECTOR Button is located just under the LCD Screen - last button on the right. There is little else mentioned of this therefore I assume the procedure is quite simple. However the Manual states "To Select a Sender's Name" I was hoping it went on to say, to also EDIT and/or INCLUDE a Sender's Name. I would start with the TTI SELECTOR and hope that solves your problem. Good Luck
This sets the default settings, that are in effect every time an application starts up.
Also note, that if printer settings are not listed within your START menu, you can find them in the Windows control panel. You can change what shows in the START menu and what doesn't by right-clicking the task bar.
Now start your application and do the same thing under the file menu:
File --> Print --> Settings ... File --> Printer settings ... File --> Page setup .... and also margins. etc...
This sets the actual settings for this application or the current document. These settings over-ride the global default setting in item (2)
To clarify, the settings in item (2) should be setup to reflect the way you use the printer the most often.
The settings in item (3) reflect the actual document you are trying to print now.
Be careful that the paper size settings (3) accurately reflect the paper in the machine, do not confuse metric sizes: A1, A2, A3, A4, A5 ....
with English sizes: Letter, Legal,..... etc
These do not line up exactly.
Also check your document, to make sure that there are no extra characters at the end of your document:
Paragraph marks, Page Brakes, Form Feeds, etc.
Also check the paragraph settings (in Word for Windows, for example, to make sure that is not the cause of the problem.
In word for Windows, for example, you can also go into tools, options and change the way your document is displayed, such that all formatting marks become visible (or click on the paragraph tool)
Finally, most Windows applications offer some kind of print PREVIEW facility, so that you can see what you are going to get, before you physically print it.
I hope this solves your problem, please rate my answers. Good luck.
have you tried to see if paper is jammed in side of the fax manchine this will prevent it send/receving faxes . follow your manual instructions for this . you could also contact samsung on the number 08707267864 8am-8pm.
