Will not access maps - Garmin nuvi 200W GPS Receiver

1. Access the Tools Menu
2. Access the Settings Menu
3. Access the Maps sub-category
4. Press the Info button at the bottom of the screen. This was the tricky one I couldn't remember. You should see two maps...or more depending on what you have installed.
5. Select the map you want by checking the respective check box.

Finding a free map, would be a difficult task , as the maps are code locked . However if you have access to a keygen for Garmin you would be able to download. The following link , would set you in the right direction .Its a forum on Garmin users and how to access free maps

The Garmin Maps require a map unlock code in order for the GPS to be able to open/access it. Since the maps are copyright protected by Garmin you should of recieved the unlock code from Garmin when you purchased the new map update.

screen will light,but no map accessible.

If you have mapped it, you should see the public share in my computer.

If you don't see it there, then try remapping it again, by doing the following:

Right click on my computer > select 'map network drive' > In the folder option type: \\**IP address or name of the drive as you see it network**\public > select 'finish'. If this is executed successfullymt he drive will appear in my computer with a drive letter (normally Z: - If you left this option as it was). It would be named either by it's IP address or the name, depending on which one you used to map it with.

If you google maps refuses to load you can get some other applications for google maps on getjar.com, and download Google Maps for mobile featuring Latitude v. 3. You can follow this link alternatively http://www.getjar.com/products/15897/GoogleMapsformobilefeaturingLatitude

Check out the Terracrosser software, this uses Google maps but allows you to use downloaded maps. Terracrosser works on my S620 although I haven't been able to get my BT GPS unit to function properly with any mapping software. I have tried setting it to COM 6 as previously suggested.

well if you're trying to play the maps with other of your friends and they dont have the maps im afraid you cant play themt if the problem is that you cant play them at all in your ps3 even when your offline then you can delete them and download them again you wont be charge a penny because you already bought them just go to the ps3 store then at the top choose view downloads and it should give you all the list of the demos videos add-ons ect.... you have donwload, choose the maps and download them again.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU DOWNLOADED IT TO TOM TOM HOME AND NOT TOM TOM ITSELF. OPEN UP TOM TOM HOME AND LOCATE THE US MAPS THEN THERE SOULD BE A OPTION TO TRANSFER MAP TO TOM TOM.
