Try ultrasurf.
If it doesn't work then first install Google Chrome and then through it download and install firefox 3.6. IE has no control over the installation of Chrome.

Wifi internet connected, internet explorer will not load web page

Get a new internet browser, download Firefox from here:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%2031.0.exe

Then make sure your computer time clock is correct, you can adjust the time and date by right clicking on the clock and then read the rest.

If that doesn't work you need to check your wifi router, you might need to unplug it for 1 minute then plug it back in.

If that doesn't work you need to check your Proxy settings in Internet Explorer. Do this by opening IE, then go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Uncheck all boxes then click Apply/Ok and exit IE and try again.

Just use Firefox, it is much better than IE, for many reasons.

Toshiba won't allow me to change homepage

Hi there,

Which is the browser we are using?

Internet Explorer for Windows1. Browse normally to the web page you want as your home page.

2. Pull down the "Tools" menu of Internet Explorer.

3. Select "Internet Options."

4. The "General" tab appears.

5. You'll see the "Home page" box at the top.

6. Click the "Use Current" button in that box.

7. Click "OK."

8. Close and open Internet Explorer. You should see your new home page.

I am trying to view videos on youtube however, the site loads, the thumb nails load, when i click on the videos i get a blank black box.. no videos load no matter which i click on, i tried updated my flash...

I had a similar problem with my Windows XP which wouldn't support a late enough Internet Explorer and I couldn't use Chrome because my hardware was too old so I used the Firefox browser. It seems Firefox needs a different version of Flash Player. My Internet Explorer was using Flash and for some reason I don't understand that prevented Flash downloading properly or working with Firefox even though several times I uninstalled and reloaded it.
Troubleshooter said to make sure Flash was enabled in the browser options.

Since I installed Explorer 8 two months ago, I continuely have messages of "Internett Explorer 8 has encountered a problem and must shut down". I have reloaded Explorer 8 a couple of times with no luck

Try to check for updates for IE8 on MS website. If it doesn't help uninstal it and stay with IE7.

I recommend you to change your prefered browser to Google Chrome (www.google.com/chrome) or mozilla firefox (www.mozilla.com/firefox/) or Opera (http://www.opera.com/download/). All of them are much better then any IE

Facebook home page will not load

If you think the reason is the browser then here is my advice : Just go to www.microsoft.com and download internet explorer again and install it , then reboot your system . I'm sure that this will solve the problem . any way , why don't you try other internet communication softwares like ( firefox or google chrome) those both are great also . I advice you to have more than one internet communication software . I already have three just in case if one of them is corrupted . I have ( Internet explorer and firefox and google chrome ) . just try the idea and you'll be satisfied with the result .
good luck .

Every time I try to access internet explorer, it closes.

Stop using Internet Explorer. It is not a safe or reliable browser to begin with. See this article.

Here are the steps:
  1. 1. Download and install Firefox. It is an amazing browser and is surprisingly light weight and safe. Download here.
  2. When Firefox asks you if you want it to be your default browser select "YES".
  3. Delete the shortcuts on your desktop to Internet Explorer and start using FireFox!
You are done!

Desktop problem

try downloading and installing firefox web brwoser, then use this instead of internet explorer... you may just have a bug in your internet explorer and it is so much easier to use firefox than to try and repair a faulty internet explorer.

go here for firefox :

I am having a problem logging in to my online banking i am getting a time out dislpay i have talked with sov.bank and they say because this is a new explorer site they do not except it and i should go...

Personally, Internet explorer just doesn't cut it for a lot of my websites. I've actually had the same exact problem. I've all but completely switched to Firefox web browser. It's backwards compatible with almost every site I've ever visited and I've noticed many fewer crashes.

Try firefox at www.firefox.com and see if that works better for you. The best thing about this browser is, the site I visit that must be viewed with internet explorer are viewable. They have a downloadable add-on that lets you run internet explorer in a firefox tab. :)

I hope this helps out, but other then my idea there isn't much you're going to be able to do. If their banking tools won't allow IE8, then you've gotta bite the bullet and use something else.
