    Primary Causes

The troubleshooting table lists parts and wiring referenced in the troubleshooting procedure.

Damage to circuits within the Electronics Module may occur if the power supply capacitors are not allowed to fully discharge.

Table 2. PEST 50 V Supply Fault 37,016.43 Troubleshooting Procedure

    Step

    Questions or Actions

    Yes

    No

    1

Check for a short in the Electronics Module.

Measure the 50 V power supply output. The test point is located on the power control board below the main board RAM DIMMs.

Is there 50 V across the TP and ground?

    Go to Step 2.

    Go to Step 2.

    2

Shutdown the system and wait 30 seconds for the capacitors to discharge.

Unplug all connections to the Electronics Module.

    Turn the system On.

Do the PE and PS indicators (near the Power Switch) flash momentarily?

    Go to Step 3.

Replace the Electronics Module ( REP 5.0.5).

    3

Shutdown the system and wait 30 seconds for the capacitors to discharge.

    Connect I/O Board connector ( P/J840).

    Turn the system On.

Do the PE and PS indicators (near the Power Switch) flash momentarily?

    Go to Step 4.

    Go to Step 5.

    4

Check the 50 V Supply LED.

If the 50V LED ( Figure 2) illuminates, the short is on one of the external devices unplugged earlier. In this case, systematically turn off the printer, plug a wiring harness back in, and turn the printer on until the 50V LED fails to illuminate.

    Was the defective part isolated?

    Replace the defective part.

    Go to Step 5.

    5

Shutdown the system and wait 30 seconds for the capacitors to discharge.

Disconnect all connections to the I/O Board.

Test the resistance of the I/O Board across pin 1 of J270 and ground.

Pin 1 is on the left end of the jack.

Is the resistance still less than 1K ohm?

    Replace the I/O Board ( REP 5.0.13).

    Go to Step 6.

    6

Reconnect connections on the I/O Board until you find one that creates a short at J270-1.

Does a short appear at J270-1?

    Replace the affected component.

    Go to Step 7.

    7

    Reconnect the Wave Amplifier.

    Turn the system On.

    Does the error persist?

    Go to Step 8.

Leave power on to ensure the problem is fixed.

    8

    Reconnect the Printhead.

    Turn the system On.

    Does the error persist?

Replace the Electronics Module ( REP 5.0.5).

Leave power on to ensure the problem is fixed.

Xerox phaser 8500 error code 09, 038, 46:4597

Ink count sensor flags are stuck after melting 2.5 ink sticks. The following codes are recorded: 9,03x.41, where x= 5 for cyan, 6 for magenta, 7 for yellow, and 8 for black. (Your error indicates black ink loader failure)

Features on the bottom of genuine Xerox ink sticks actuate the Ink Out Sensor located at the forward end of each ink channel of the Ink Loader. The sensor indicates the passage of ink to provide a count of ink consumption.

Damaged or non-genuine ink sticks may not reliably actuate the sensors. This can lead to false Ink Out messages as well as Ink Stick count faults. Using 8400 model ink in a 8500/8550/8560 models will also cause 9,03x.4x ink stick count faults.
Ink Loader will need replaced and then diagnostics entered to run "Clear ISC Fault" test to clear the error.

:I have a Xerox Phaser 8500 with the following error: 13.323.47:31989. Any ideas what this is?

This fault code is saying that the printhead reservoir thermistor circuit is open. Unfortunately, only a printhead replacement will solve this problem.

Error code 37,016.43 Xerox Phaser 8500 Printer Problem I get this error when I power up. Printer won't do anything. What can I do to fix it?

This is an internal power supply error. The 50 Volt supply has a fault, or there could be a short on the supply rail.
There could be an error in the Head Maintenance, Deskew, or pick clutches.

I think you will need a qualified technician to fix this.

Hi i have phaser 8560, it gives me a error 09,038,46:62248, plese who can solve me the problem.

Hi there
The onlty thing I can find close to this is.
Acording to the manual its a ink loader error like your loading the wrong type of ink like the puzzles pieces arent matching and hitting the sensor flags right. Yours by the 8 is referring to the black ink. Anyway go to troubleshooting on the control panel. then to service tools. when in service tools press and hold the up arrow while still pressing the up arrow press the down arrow. the display should say hidden menus. go to diagnostic mode press enter go to funtion menu. then go to clear ISC fault and enter. ISC=ink stick count fault. I hope that helps. Just to let you know Ive had nothing but problems with third party ink and once its in the system its hard to get out so I would watch what im doing with my expensive equipment

Fault 37,016.43:9533

You've got some physical problem inside the printer.

See:

http://www.office.xerox.com/printers/color-printers/phaser-8500-8550/sprt-enca.html

If your printer is networked, it can actually communicate with our support knowledge base directly, and troubleshoot itself.

Error code 19,003.48:75856

That is a print head calabration fault. 99 percent chance the print head has failed. That would require replacing hte print head.
That is a common problem on the 8500. Look for a dealer in your area if you want to repair is. Xerox will charge over $200 to show up and $750 for the print head.
