This is a GFI (Ground Circuit Interrupter) Breaker. So you need to turn off the circuit breaker first. Then you need to reset the GFI (yellow button) by pressing in the button. And then turning the breaker back on. Now, with some GFI's, you need power on to reset them. So if this is the case, reset the circuit breaker by turning it off and then back on. Then press the yellow button in, and it should hold. Then you should have power restored. I hope this works for you. If not, feel free to contact me again. Good Luck!

How to replace a Bryant GFCB120 Circuit Breaker

If you have a Bryant load center, you can use other breakers in it, including the Eaton GFCB120 GFI since several companies unified their design. The GFI (ground fault interrupter) or GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter), same thing, may be required for a device you are installing, such as bathroom, kitchen or outdoor fixtures.
The Eaton series includes very clear installation instructions, but if your problem is that they are missing, then all you do is install the breaker in a open slot in the breaker panel, but you have to attach the neutral [white] wire differently. On regular breakers, the neutral goes right to the ground lug in the panel. With a GFI breaker, it goes through the breaker, and then is connected to the ground lug.

Not Eaton but Square D. Arc Fault trips with new vacuums Kenmore 21714. Replaced vacuum cleaner, still happens. Suspect design flaw

you say you have a square d panel and you have a eaton breaker this may be the problem square d should always have a square d breaker and eaton with eaton they dont fit wright in the panel they are made for each other ,you should check the panel and breaker to see if all the wires are tight if there is no problem there check the plug in the wall if there all tight ,it may be drawing to many amps and blowiing the breaker,

The new Eaton Cutler Hammer UL series circuit breakers are made to be interchangeable with panelboards from different manufacturers. If it is a UL series, the answer is yes.

Have three 20 amp Eaton Arc Fault Breakers Type BRAF and two have tripped and cannot reset. What is the solution? Do I need to replace?

If you disconnect the load wires on the breaker and it will not reset, the breaker has a fatal flaw.

IF the breaker ONLY fails to reset with the load wires connected EITHER there is a wrong connection like servicing a shared neutral 3 wire cable from the breaker, or there is an electrical fault OR there is interference from a source that couples radio-like noise onto the wires to this.

How do I reset a Eaton breaker with a tester on it?

If the lever is in the middle position, you will need to move it all the way to the off position, (towards the outside of the panel) and then back to the on position (towards the middle of the panel) If it trips again, try to turn all of the light switches of that circuit to the "off" position and try again. the arc fault breakers are designed to sense loose connections in outlets, light switches and lights. by turning the light switches off it will give you a chance to find out which sets of lights may be causing the problem. keep in mind that it could be a total accumulation of the lights (total amp draw) so if it resets and then trips, try turning on the lights in a different order.

Eaton Arc Fault Breaker type BRAF tripped. I reset it but lights will not work. Ideas please?

My arc fault breaker trips in my bedroom when ever a load is put on line. The trunk line comes into a three gang switch box and feeds the entire room. At times I can turn my ceiling fan and light on for 10 to 20 minutes before the breaker trips. Other times the breaker will trip when either switch is first turned on. I plugged a 4 watt night light in a wall receptical, without the ceiling light or fan on, it also trips the breaker. I have had other plug in lamps, 60 watt, work in other recepticals for a while. The problem seems to appear in all recepticals and lighting in the room.

I turned it off for about six months, now it will not reset. There are no loads applied.

you must push it kind of hard to get it to reset. first kill the 100 anp or 200 amp breaker. that is what most of sizes used now days. it will be the big wide breaker. now pull the wire our of your eaton breaker. if it has 2 wires pull them both. it has just one pull it. move it back where you wont touch it or it wont touch anything else. now reset it again. it it resets you have a bad short down the line. let me know and i will help you run it down. good luck and good day. sawdust46
