If you have the connection cable, plug the cable into your player and to your computer. The player then becomes an external drive. Delete the songs you no longer want.
If you don't have the cable, take out the SD disk, plug it into an adapter and delete the files you no longer want.

can you reach the data from computer (my computer)?
if so save what you think is important and then try reformatting it and then paste back the songs only.

You have to push the "M" (mode) button for the songs to actually play.

How do i delete songs from my mp3 player?

Mp3 Players rarely if ever hold as many songs as they advertise - the numbers on the box, spec sheets are "ideal" numbers based on unrealistic 2-minute long songs all in mp3 ultra-compressed format. Although there are exceptions, I have found that, in general, 6GB = 1000 songs, 2GB = 400 songs, 1 GB = 200 songs. Very long audio files, audio books, etc will throw these numbers WAY off.

MyMusix's PD-6030:
If you are using Windows Media Player 11, go to the sync tab and make sure it is displaying only the files on your Mp3 player, and not every file stored on your Computer's hard drive. Click once on a song you want to delete, and then hit the delete button on your computer's keyboard.
If your not using Windows Media Player 11, then read pp. 17-20 of your user's manual, available at www.mymusix.com

Why half my songs are not on the players?

You need to define additional subdirectories within the Mymusix flash drive. This is posted in the Mymusix website FAQ. I was orginally only able to put 760 MB on the 2GB (actually only about 1.8GB available) drive, but that problem disappeared when I created additonal subdirectories. Oddly enough, all the songs show up on the same list, regardless of whether they are in a subdirectory or not. Also, I still have not been able to get the music library function to work, e.g. I can't select songs by Artist. I can only set the play mode to random or sequential... or scroll through the whole list manually.

How big are the songs, length and bitrate can effect the size of your song files. Also I suggest emptying the recycle bin on your computer while the player is attached.

MyMusix PD-6110 MP3 Player

When you hook it up, you should see an icon on your computer for the MP3 player.
I download songs from iTunes to my MAC, then drag them to the MP3 player. However, they do not come from i'Tunes in a MP3 format. I found this on the internet for how to change the format:

When iTunes is open, find "preferences" and then locate "importing" (just look around on the different tabs till you find these, since Mac and Windows put them in different spots) tell it to import using MP3 encoder from the drop down bars, and say OK. now you can right click on the song you want to convert and select "convert to mp3".

Then drag the MP3 song to the MYMusix player icon and it should copy the song.
