Question about Braun Tassimo Espresso Machine/Coffee Maker

Tassimo has stopped blowing the T-Disk contents out

My Tassimo used to clear the liquid out of the T-Disk after brewing the drink by blowing air through the disk. It still sounds like this is happening but it doesn't work any more. Do you have any ideas what might be causing this?

The same thing just started happening to me. I have had the machine for over 2 years and the pods were always dry inside when I was done brewing. I keeping the machine very clean. In the last week I noticed that the pods were still full of liquid when the brewing was done and little bit was actually leaking from the sides. Anyone know what to do?

We've had the machine for 1.5 years. We make 2 cups a day average. We just started having the same problem you described about a month ago. And now the machine seems to be leaking from below?

Yes, my machine seems to have run out of air also. It actually leaves creamer inside the disc. I have resorted to poking a hole in the disc to finnish my coffee. I have cleaned and descaled also and to no avail. Will try to take it apart next. Wish me luck!!

My unit is no longer under warranty and the company that repairs them wants $85.00 just for looking at it. So, if I try to look inside what am I looking for exactly?

Internal fault, possible cause the tube that comes from the pump has perished or become separated from either pump or nozzle. If still under warranty return to tassimo. if not open unit and order replacement from spares at Tassimo.

SOURCE: Tassimo has stopped blowing the T-Disk contents out

How old is the unit, they do have 2 year warranties. It sounds like it is something that will require service. As there are no "user serviceable" parts.

When I turn on my Tassimo Coffee maker, the refill water light just flashes, and it won't brew. What can I do? I have tried re-inserting the water tank, cleaning off the barcode sensor, twisting the tank...

I ran into the same problem myself. One possibility is this: Follow this sequence: 1) With the top up and the disk NOT engaged, turn the main power on. 2) Put the disk in and lock the top down. At this time, the cup logo shouls flash once and stay on. 3) Push the large round button once and the cup logo will flash and the brewing should start.
I had a few things out of sequence at first and it was frustrating me as well. I hope this helps!!

Tassimo Coffee Maker: Tell me how to operate it. I can fill the water, put the pod in and all the lights keep flashing. Pressing the start/stop button does nothing.

• All lights will blink the first time you turn on your
machine. This is your cue to prepare your machine for use by
following the quick instructions in Step 1 on separate insert.
• If the water level runs low while you are preparing a
beverage, all lights will flash. Simply remove and refill the
water container, and brewing will continue automatically
where it left off. It should not be necessary to discard the T-DISC
and start over.
• The AUTO light will blink throughout the brewing process.
Some drinks require a pause in brewing as part of the recipe
for brewing your perfect cup - this is to allow the optimal flavors
to unfold and is a normal part of the brewing process. The AUTO
light will continue to blink throughout this process.

• Place the mug of your choice on the cup stand.
• When the STANDBY light illuminates, insert the T-DISC® of your choice
and close the clamp.
• The HEATING light will blink as the brewer heats the water to the
optimal temperature for your drink.
• Once the proper temperature is reached, the AUTO light will
illuminate. When it lights up, press the start/stop button to begin
the brew cycle.
• The AUTO light will continue to flash throughout the brewing cycle.
PLEASE NOTE: Some beverages have a pause in brewing
after the initial influx of water into the T-DISC®.
• The MANUAL light will illuminate when your drink is ready.

Hello - I have a Bosch Tassimo that has worked fine for months. This morning, when placing any beverage disk into the fold down top in order to brew, the LED indicator light remains yellow instead of...

Mine does this all the time. There are several reasons why this happens . If you look at the machine from the front, find the part that pierces the disk at the top and dispenses the coffee at the bottom. This snaps in and out for cleaning. Push up on it until it pops out. If you have just used one of the hot chocolate discs and did not run the cleaning disc or rinse this part afterward, the chocolate clogs the spout and you will have to clean it out. If it is not due to a hot chocolate disk, I usually find that the small piece of aluminum that is punched out at the top has either gotten stuck inside the dispenser spout (sometimes more than one is in there) or is laying partially over the mouth in the center. The spout must be clean/clear before the green light will come on. After you pop it out, spray it out or push a pipe cleaner or other sharp object through it to clear it (skewers work, but I have to move it around to get anything that is stuck to the sides). After it's clean/clear, snap it back in place (make sure that it snaps into place). If that does not work, wipe the top and bottom of the disc shelf (there are sensors there, too). If you have had your machine for a long time (like I have), and none of that works, you may have to jiggle the top piece that covers the disc to wake the sense up. Good luck!

Tassimo red light stays on ran descaling disc twice

After many months, I solved the problem of the red light staying on the Tassimo Coffee Maker. Use these easy steps.
1. Fill a 2 cup measuring cup with hot water.
2. Mix in descaler.
3. Pour in the empty water tank.
4. Put the yellow cleaning disk in the chamber and close chamber. Put the two cup measuring cup under the spout.
5. Push and hold the brew button for about 3 seconds (until the red and green light flash.
6. Now don't touch the machine. It will do it's thing for about 20 minutes. (Don't be impatient and start to push buttons, just leave it)
7. When it finishes it's cycle. The red light will turn off. Then clean the water tank and put fresh water and run clean water through the brewing cycle 4 times. Your machine is now ready for use.

Yessir, you need a t-disc to use it, because the machine reads the bar code that is imprinted on the aluminum lid of the t-disc to get instructions of how hot the water should be, and how much water should be used for the beverage you're qnting to prepare. no t-disc, no drink, no working machine. it's that simple.
