If the unit was installed with a handbrake lead properly it will only get picture with handbrake on,try taking that wire off and connect it to a permenant positive like the permanent live to the head unit,so the unit thinks the handbrake is on, or if it wasnt installed properly and that wire is somewhere else like a permenant negative then the unit thinks the handbrake is always off hence no picture while driving, hope this helps :-)

Description is too vague. If you are certain the speakers, power connections, and all wiring is proper, the radio is bad.

My panasonic dvd/vcr combo displays the message DV D 2 in the display. Cnnot play DVD

Sounds like your remote code is different to what's in the unit's display (DVD 2). You can try to 'reset' the remote, by pressing (and holding) 2 and ENTER/OK buttons together for 5 - 10 seconds, then release. This should restore your remote function back to your unit. If it does not, replace the batteries with new ones, and try again.

The remote may require a 'reset' of its command mode (to match the unit) whenever the batteries are replaced.

I assume you can play DVD by pressing the PLAY button on the main unit.

it sounds like it was installed incorrectly. there must be amps in the car. when the dvd player was installed they hook up a blue wire on the back of the radio. its a power antenna wire . switch it for the blue white wire and youll be in buisness

I need help wiring a sub to a ripspeed dvd-730 cd player.because it has to aux-in wires but 1 sub out wire.

the phono out is the feed to the sub, if your amp has high input socket then run feed from normal speaker feed from head unit, or pop into halfords and ask the ripspeed specialist

Ripspeed in car dvd player

I had a similar problem with mine I have just had a technical fault with mine and the only solution i could find was through halfords. If its under warranty they send it off to their supplier AEL to solve. If its no longer under warranty like mine, they send it off at an initial £60 cost which could escalate if the problem is larger.

Ripspeed dv-725 problem when trying to play dvd it says attention, do not use this function!

Your Player doesn't support DVD/CDs that are burnt on High Speed DVD/CD Recorders. To resolve this, you should either burn DVD/CDs at 4x(DVD) & 24x(CD) or go for a newer, higher end DVD Player.

Its illegal to watch a dvd/tv when the vehicle is moving so the manufacturer disables the function.. Usually by connecting a cable to your handbrake indicator or to your vehicle speed sensor VSS.
Youll have to find out which one it is. You can then find out how to disable it. JVC's normally ground the H/brake cable
