Re: Wii connection issues.
You can check if the problem is with the internet connection going to the Wii or just the wireless connection.
When you loose connection, check the Wii's ip address. If it does not have an ip address(or ip is 169.xx.xx.xx) that means that the Wii is disconnecting from the wireless network. You can then try other wireless channels on your router.
If the Wii is still getting an ip of 192.168.x.x, that means that the problem is the internet from the router. You might need to forward ports on the router for your Wii.

You should be able to connect to the Internet provided the PS3 wireless segttings is configured correctly.
For instructions on setting up the PS3, Xbox, or Wii, for awireless/Internet connection. please click on this link :-http://fixhomenetwork.com/xbox-play-station-wii.php
**I m not able to find a snapshot of the router interface. But i ll tell you what all to do there 1) Disable the router's inbuilt firewall 2) Enable DMZ for your Wii's IP address; assign this same IP address on your Wii manually 3) Change the bandwidth of wireless to 20/40MHz This will surely work
Most DSL providers use PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet) to establish Internet connections for end-users. To set up a Linksys router, you need to enable PPPoE on the router’s web-based setup page. To setup a Linksys router with a DSL connection you need to perform four steps:
Verifying Internet Connection
Connecting the Devices Together
Checking the LEDs
Setting-up a DSL ISP on a Linksys Router
Verifying Internet Connection Connect the Broadband modem to the computer using an Ethernet cable without the router installed and make sure that the Internet connection is active. If not, contact your Internet Service Provider.
If its a wired connection it will automatically know that its connected to it. With the wireless you need to veiw the available networks before you can connect to the network. And if the router is already configured for internet they will automatically get the internet connection.
If you need help to make sure that the router is online. Kindly provide me with this info;
Internet service provider:
brand or model of Modem from internet service provider:
Operating system of the computers:
The problem may be in the router itself, prehaps a faulty product. But I am more inclined to think it is the outdated copy of windows 2000 which you use. In my view 2000 was second to Windows ME in terms of faults, errors, recoginizing hardware, and what have you. I would take the router back to walmart and test with a new one, but if that does not help, then it may be time for you to upgrade. Have you tried getting the ps3 online even without the computer having an active connection? Give that a shot and if for some reason the ps3 grabs the signal then it is time to give in for sure man. And watch the router when you try to connect the ps3 to see if it even attempts to grab the wireless connection, the wireless light will start blinking rapidly if it does.
To setup your router first check.. Connect the Broadband modem to the computer using an Ethernet cable without the router installed and make sure that the Internet connection is active. If it is not, contact your Internet Service Provider. If it can go online, to setup connection.. Step 1: Connect the Broadband modem to the router’s WAN or Internet port. Step 2: Connect the computer to any available numbered port (1, 2, 3 or 4). NOTE: In this example, we’ll connect the computer to port number 3. Step 3: Make sure the power adapter is plugged to an available power outlet. Step 4: check if you are able to go online wired.. if not your router has to be configured first, config your router by running the setup cd and that would fix your problem..
let me no know in case if you have any problems ...
