Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54GS Router (e125894)
Well I bought a Linksys Broadband Router so I could connect my Wii and DS to the internet and play online...and it woked great on the DS...but not so much on the Wii...on the DS the games play with out any issues...but for the Wii...whenever I try to play a game online it keeps losing connection...could a firewall be an issue?...please if somebody could help me out...I'm really confused.
You can check if the problem is with the internet connection going to the Wii or just the wireless connection.
When you loose connection, check the Wii's ip address. If it does not have an ip address(or ip is 169.xx.xx.xx) that means that the Wii is disconnecting from the wireless network. You can then try other wireless channels on your router.
If the Wii is still getting an ip of 192.168.x.x, that means that the problem is the internet from the router. You might need to forward ports on the router for your Wii.
