Question about Kenmore Elite 45986 Front Load Washer
i have a zanussi washer-dryer. (wjs 1397w)
it would turn, but would not go into the spin-cycle at the end of the wash-cycle.
the pump would run for 10 minutes, trying to empty an already empty sump, then the spin-cycle would end and the machine would turn itself off.
i unplugged a 2-prong lead that is fixed to some kind of sensor attatched to the bottom of the drum to see what would happen.
it now spins fine, but races through all the wash programmes at 5 times normal speed.
anyone have any idea what's going on? what is that sensor, and is it broken?
(plus, any idea where i could view a diagram of the workings of a modern washer-dryer??)
Door lock switch # 131763245 if everything else is working fine this should fix the problem. It shorts out between the motor control board and the door lock from emptying the cycle and spinning. Try running your machine on drain/spin and see if it drains and tosses clothes and then stops with no spin. If that happens then it is your door lock.switch. Easy to replace by yourself and costs $65.00
