Question about Apple iPod nano

Installed MP3 icon wont show up in iTunes... Cant copy music to MP3...

We bought an XO Vision MP3 Slicker for our learning disabled daughter. We followed the directions which said insert the driver disk and choose "Setup exe," only the icon said only "Setup." My computer says it's installed but no icon ever shows up in iTunes. I can't drag music on our harddrive to it 'cause it's not there. Please help!

Dear Ekse - Thanks so much, but it still doesn't show me an icon. In my start-up menu there are icons for AMV Player, AMV converter, and MP3 Player Disk Manager, but no icon in my itunes screen (I'm assuming it should be near podcasts, music, etc.) I made sure everything was plugged in. When I plug the MP3 player in I get a pop-up window that says Removable disk E... Nothing's listed on the screen though.
When I used the setup, I was never asked what model I was installing... Also, the user's manual says that the USB Cable is for WIN2000 or higher - I think Windows XP is higher, right? The first time I plugged it in to charge the MP3 player (it's not an iPod brand), I could not locate the Safely Remove Hardware icon anywhere. It didn't show up in the tool bar until my second attempt - could I have screwed things up my disconnecting that first time? I'm about to return this thing... Thanks so much.

Make sure its pluged in.

Yes the setup.exe might show up as setup, in most home computer the settings are set to hide the extension (after the dot) so make it simpler.

Here is a general quide, select your model and follow the instructions It should start working somewhere along the way.

Safely Remove Hardware Is not a must, and I'm sure that wasnt / isnt the cause.

"I get a pop-up window that says Removable disk E"

So if you open your computer, and then go to the removeable disk E, you should now be in your mp3 players memory disk. If you drag and drop music there, in a folder with other music, the music should work on the mp3 player.

Its most likely that the player wasnt desinged to be used with Itunes. so

Go to my computer when its pluged in

then find the removeable disk witch is the mp3 player, you can disconnect the player and then reconnect it to see witch drive disapears.

Go in the mp3 players disk, find the music folder, in some mp3 players there is no folder and you just simply drag and drop the music into that folder.

If you need more asistance, let me know.

Open iTunes (without iPod connected). Create a new playlist and copy songs you want on your iPod into that list. Next connect your iPod. Once iTunes recognizes your iPod then go to the music tab and click on 'sync playlist only' and chose the new playlist that you created. Click sync. Only the songs in your new playlist should be copied to your iPod.

XO Vision MP3 player-problems downloading TV shows

Um hey, I have a Lyra MP3 player, I can't download videos but I have gotten music on it. When you download your music, it goes to a certain folder in your computer, it's up to you to find it. All that I did was copy/paste that to your MP3's folder. If that doesn't work I am really sorry.
Good luck,
Shannon
