I have lost software for Epson Stulus RX500 how can I use printer?

I would uninstall all versions of the printer and reboot the PC. Check that no remnants of the printer software are left on the PC and then re-install the printer. Use the CD that came with the printer when installing.

All Windows software (including Windows 7) is available HERE.

You do not actually need Smart panel to use the scanner. Epson scan will allow you to scan and save to the PC etc. To install the printer and scanner download and install Epson Scan and Driver from the following page. http://esupport.epson-europe.com/ProductHome.aspx?lng=en-GB&data=SF8cgjsfr7MDXMcEkJfQFa89pC7QCDCv&tc=6#7

The page advises you to plug in your USB connection from your printer. You will get the Found New Hardware window. The choose the Locate and install driver software (recommended) choice. A connection to Microsoft will be made and the necessary drivers will be downloaded.

Keep in mind that Photo Impression will be the trial version as I can't find a free version for you to download, I think its a 15 day limit on the software so I apologize for not finding a free version, you get the software with no limitations when you buy the printer cause it comes as part of the printer package.

Press the On button to turn off the Stylus Photo RX500. Unlock the transportation lock. Make sure that all packaging materials have been removed. Turn on your Stylus Photo RX500 again. If the error message still appears, call Epson so they can replace your printer.
