E354 is a mismatch or absence of the serial number stored in the Serial Number PCB and Main Controller/Image Processor PCB or Counter PCB. Check and reseat connections to the counter and Serial number boards on the main controller.
This is HDD related problem, try : turn off copier pres 1 and 9 (hold it ) then turn on the copier. That initalizes the hdd defragmentation. if does not help, you need to change the hdd and "fill" it with system software.
