When i engage my blades it won't work could it be

The blades are engaged electrically via the PTO on the engine shaft.
Check the connector and wiring to the PTO unit, or the electrical plug on the engage switch.

If this has a lever activiated PTO make sure it is engaged all the way- and the fluid level is good; if it is electrically activated, check that you have power to the switch. If now power at switch- check fuses- if theer is power at switch, the switch is bad.

This problem needs more information provided.
Look for safety interlocks that have not been engaged, or possibly broken. The switch under the seat will not allow the PTO to engage if it does not detect someone in the seat.

If the PTO is electric, look to see if the plug is loose at the PTO.

Check to make sure that the PTO mounting bolts are still secure.

go to partstree.com and they should have wiring diagrams for your mower, should be a switch or something if the clutch works when you hook it to a battery (seat switch, pto switch, parking brake switch, even the neutral safety switches) also check your ground hook ups

look at the fuses there maybe a blown one

check for power at the clutch if no power check the safety switches and the switch itself

They are normally electro magnetic clutches, the click is the cluch engaging so i would guess it is working, arev you sure the belt is not broken or lose?
