Try this. If you can't figure it out, either use a different USB drive, or consult an IT guy. Much of the glitchy stuff in computers these days is just too complex unless you have some training, or self education .

No? - Then in Windows 7 - Go to Start and check your User Account icon. Are logged in as an Administrator? Guest users have limited access. Switch users or have someone else login.

if you will look into the side of your SD CARD. theres a small toggle switch there. just slide it to the other side inorder to disable the write protection

Look for a little switch on the side of the card, Just move it to the other side and it should now be writable.

You can scan the flash drive with your virus protection. If this doesn't work, then right click on the flash drive, choose properties and uncheck "read only" on the bottom security tab.

This will give you back the admin rights to reformat.

no solution but same problem. when I bought I erased everything on it and after some time use it protected itself. In my opinion because it has open pinouts one side wet finger may cause protection bur dont know how to unlock

You have lost your stuff more than likely. You can try to use ScanDisc in applications to fix it, but possibly dead. You will need to reformat.

Cruzer Flash is driver less for widows XP....try with another computer
