Try running the tv for a couple hrs on an all white picture, sometimes that helps get rid of some of the burn in. it has to be a pure white picture. snow might work... otherwise youre going to need a new panel

Hp pavilion dx6 laptop screen. there's blotches on the center of screen, is it the screen itself or something wrong in the video card?

If the blotches never move when you change applications, then the screen is faulty. Screens can be found online and you might be able to find a You Tube video showing you how to change it. Just google replacement laptop screens and you'll find many places to get a new one.

Have a dark blotch on bottom right of screen. What is this? Transported in the rain and fear water got through carefully wrapped plastic. Help

It's possible the mirror has dome dust on it from jostling during the move. W dried water spot will do it too. The front screen will come off by removing the screws on the bezel. Be extremely careful cleaning the mirror.Any scratch by a cleaning cloth (never use paper) will permanently ruin it.

How to burn video todvd using nero7 ?

1) Please make sure you start Nero Buring ROM I show here and NOT the Nero SmartStart.
2) The new complication comes up. If you see a Wizard close it (there must be a button down right which says Close Wizard or something). Open the pull-down menu I show and select DVD.
3)Select DVD-Video (1) from the list. Then just make sure the settings (2) are the same as shown here. Then click on the Label tab.
4) Here just put the label that you want your DVD to have. (It's the name that you see before your drive's letter every time you go to My Computer). After that click New.
5) At the left of your screen you see the folders of the DVD we are going to burn. Notice the VIDEO_TS folder is red. Double click to open the VIDEO_TS folder.
6) At the right of your screen you can see your hard drive. Browse to the folder where you have your DVD files (the files that DVD Shrink created).
7) Select all the files. I repeat: ALL the files.
8) Now drag and drop ALL the files you selected at the step before into the VIDEO_TS folder we opened before at your left.
9) This is how Nero should look after all this. Note that the bat at the bottom should be all blue, or with just a little yellow where it finishes. Now click the burn icon that I show with the arrow.
10) Here select just Write. Put the write speed for your media (for slower media like here, Nero reduces the speed from 4x to 2x, nothing to worry about) and finally click Burn!
Wait for it to finish and you will have a very nice DVD-Video disc!

IDVD movie opens before menu when played on DVD player

In your iDVD project go into the DVD Map menu.
(Little flow chart like icon in the bottom-middle of the iDVD menu screen.)

Look for the very first icon in the map. (Upper left)
This has a small DVD symbol and a play icon on it.
Delete this icon.
Re-burn your DVD.
The menu should be shown first now when you play the DVD.

Burn-ins?

It sounds like your light engine is on it way out. I would have this verified by a service center. Very costly to replace. They will probably try a new lamp first.

Dark blotches / Dirty behind screen

it could be dust in the mirror or in the optics,in this set if im not mistaken you have acces to the mirror from the back, anywhere from 12-20 screws it sould be easy to remove plastic cover first and the the mirror.this mirror are very delicate you dont want to leave fingr prints on it it will show just like the dust is showing right know. taking the mirror off will also give acces to the lense.
use someting soft to clean it.
