Problem Installing Olivetti ANY_WAY printer

I have installed this printer as wireless on a desktop and three laptops without a problem. I am now trying to install it on my work laptop. When I put the install disk in it allows me to select the language and then the "Next" option but it then shows a message that there are 14 jobs in the print queue and I should wait for these to finish then rerun the install. I have checked and there are no documents waiting to print. Any ideas what causes this?

There are a number of other printers loaded. I can't remove these as they are my work printers.

The install had not reached the point of asking which port to install to.

What shows up in control panel under printers?
Do you show other printers ? You may be trying to install in on the same port with another driver loaded on the laptop.
In control panel click on available printers and delete all those showing. Then try to reinstall.

Nothing more I can tell you. You have to do the work to resolve issues.
What is happening is you have jobs on the same port you are trying to use with the printer your installing. Something it held for some resource. Out of ink, wrong media setting and blocking your install.

I gave you what fixes that and I get a condsending Thanks for Trying.

You should have an IT person at work that can resolve this for you then.

How do I get the acers drivers installed? I have down loaded all three wireless drivers, and none work.

Drivers for windows Vista are here: http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_4720.html
Under Drivers and Utilities, Select and download these drives;
1. Wireless LAN Atheros
2. Wireless LAN Broadcom
3. Wireless LAN Intel
While installing, please start with "Intel" as you follow instruction there after. Restart your Laptop and install Broadcom, Atheros respectively.

Please ensure that VISTA SP1 is installed on your system prior to installing these drivers!
Driver incompatibilities on a system without VISTA SP1 might affect usability.

I need help setting up my ANY_WAY WIFI PRINTER, using the wireless settings. I done it once before about a year ago and had to recover my laptop since and cant remember how I done it!

Hi.

You need drivers and an USB cable.

First install the printer as USB, then follow Activating Wi Fi components. Procedure is detailed from page 9/part 3 of manual below.

Here the manual for Olivetti AnyWay

If you have misplaced the printer disk, then you will need to download the drivers from Olivetti website: CUSTOMER CARE - Olivetti

The best place to check for a new driver is on Olivetti's website since they are responsible for supporting their products. Unless the unit is very old, they will probably have a driver for it in their support section.

The printer needs to be installed by you as "Adiministrator". When installing the printer you need to hold down the "Alt" button when clicking n Add Printer function. It will then give an option of installing as Administrator.

Wireless printing

The printer has o go through a router to work for the other two computers. The only other solution is setting up a wireless network with internet sharing on a HOC and share all file and printer services though it. The main PC would act as a router. for $40.00 you can buy a router and make it work.
