Question about Creative Labs Zen Stone Plus MP3 Player

1 Answer

Cannot play files

I have put some music files onto my ZenStone Plus and up until now have never had any problem playing them. However, recently it seems that the player is not recognising new files that I put on - when I plug it into my computer I can see the files are on it, but when it comes to playback, they are not appearing on the player. HELP!

The files can be read only from the ROOT and their Subfolders. Subfolder of the Subfolders cannot be read in most mp3 players.
Example,
Let's F: as your root.
F:\My.mp3 can be played.
F:\Subfolder1\My.mp3 can be played too.
F:\Subfolder1\Subfolder2\My.mp3 cannot be played.

I have put music onto the ben 10 mp3 player but once it is unplugged from the computer I cant get it to play the music

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

I have a 3" touch screen mp4 player from riverstream ltd. its been working well untill the other day, when i try to play a avi video its gives my audio but does not show video , its looks like it freezes...

you are playing invalid file format or file is courrupt
Format the memory and re place your files onto it Make sure you stick to Mp3/mp4 NOT WMA tracks
some mp3/mp4 players have problems playing wma tracks. use a free converter to convert your wma format files into mp3 files.

How do i put music of my pc onto sd card for dsi

You have to download itunes if you have not allready go it, you have to put the music you want on your dsi into a playlist on itunes, if you play it on itunes just stop the tracks and right click and pick create aac version, they have to be aac files to play on your dsi, once you have converted the music you want, right click on the tracks you want and pick show in windows explorer, then when you have them in that file, drop and drag the tracks to your sdcard, after you put the card into the pc, you can not put them on your games card because you have to put the card in the side of your dsi to be able to play them, once you have done that, turn on your dsi and open the file for the music and play the songs, if you try and put mp3 files onto the card the dsi will not play them, only if you put them on you games card, and into a system files, then the dsi will play them.

Problems with r4i

If the songs are mp3 files the dsi will not reconise them, they have to be in aac form to play on your dsi, but if you put mp3 file onto your r4i games card, they still wont play, after putting your songs onto your games card put them in the system file, then open your system file and go down, you will see the music to play, i did this for my grandson until his mum got him another sdcard, then i put his music on that, but i had to convert the to aac first. to go on the other card.

When RCA first came out with the Lyra series the only way to get music onto the device was by using musicmatch jukebox that would convert your mp3 file to mpy before downloading it to the device. But now RCA has come out with a new firm ware update for these mp3 players that improved the players playback quality plus enabled it to use .WMA files. so first go to RCA support http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/select.aspx?u=downloads and find your player and download the firmware upgrade and install to your player its very easy and instructions are at the same site. You can now convert your music to .wma or use the free Real player that will convert mp3 to wma at the kbps that you request before loading it on. If your music is all ready in wma format you can use windows media player to send the files to your player. One last thing the .wma files that you put on your Lyra player need to be at least 128kbps or higher enhanced playback quality of wma files (160 kbps to 256 kbps).

It won't let me play my music!

no worries. there may be a read error. if it still connects to your computer fine download all of the files, movies, mp3, mp4 etc back onto your computer. once you have done this go into the file holding all of the mp3's and set the file to show details and look for a mp3 that is the incorrect file size... in general comparison to the other files. also if the device came with software look around for a restore factory settings button or wizard, and once the device is completely clear restart it and reload the files back onto it, remove the device (safely) then switch it off and back on and then try it out again. hope things work out bro.
