With podcasts on the ipod touch you can vary the speed of play. From normal speed to 1.5 times, 2 times and half speed. Just under the play indication is a button which is probably reading 1.5x or 2x press this button and you will be able to change the speed back to 1x. Hope this helps.

Ipod playing too fast

In the play area of the podcast, at the top right just below where the time remaining shows there is a number plus a cross i.e. 1x, 2x etc. press the 2x and it will go to 1/2x and then to 1x. That will set it back to normal speed. Hope this helps.

Podcasts on my ipod touch have echo

Then, while I was staring sadly at my ipod, wondering why my audiobook sounded like it was playing in a tunnel, I saw a little "1/2x" next to the "30sec-rewind" button on the play screen. I hit it, so it changed to "1x" and miracle of miracles, the echo went away. Apparently there's a slow down and speed up button right there, and slowing something down where it can't, makes it echo. I'd never noticed it before, and I must have hit it accidently.

Ipod nano problem

When you connected the iPod it was most likely in automatic sync mode which caused it to sync to your computer. When you restored the iPod you wiped the content out of the iPod. You will have to regather the music and podcasts you wanted at this point. I recommend creating a back up in your computer this time though. Just in case it should happen again.

IPod 30G Video

Are you downloading podcast videos or audio files?

Also, do you have your iPod to sync manually or automatically? Change it to manually if it is auto, then you can put the podcasts from your library onto your podcast folder on the ipod in iTunes.
