Need to hook up a 200 pioneer stereo with wire harness from 96 honda accord to the wiring on a 64 impala

1964 impala, has yellow, green. black, blue, light blue, white, purple, and gray wires, i need to know what these are for hooking up a wiring harness for a 2000 pioneer car stereo. i need to know on my impala, which colored wires are the power, accessory and ground( i suppose though i just hook up the black wire from the pionner harness to a ***** for ground, or part of the chasis, help!).

There is only one power wire i cant remember the color use a test light to figure it out...then you need to make a wire off the fuse box that turns on when the ignition is on

You'll need a small 12 v lamp to figure out which one has the power terminals. after mapping that out you need to find a small battery and hook it up to a pair of wires to figure out to which speaker the wires go to.

note : new car radios don't use the chassis ground as common (negative).. the head unit has a negative and positive wire for EACH speaker.

I have a jvc kdavx1 trying to hook up to a 2000 buick reagal need to know how the wires hook up

Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

2000 Buick Regal Car Stereo Install Diagram jvc kdavx1
Radio Constant 12V+ Wire: Orange yellow
Radio Ignition Switched 12V+ Wire: Yellow red
Radio Ground Wire: Black/White black
Radio Illumination Wire: Gray/Black orange/white
Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Tan white
Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Gray white/black
Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Light Green gray
Right Front Speaker Wire (-): Dark Green gray/black
Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Brown green
Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Yellow green/black
Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Dark Blue purple
Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): Light Blue purple/black
parking brake: blue light green

For this last wire, access the back of the parking brake to find a switch with a blue wire. Peel some insulation from the wire and wrap the stripped end of a 3 foot piece of 16 or 18 gauge wire around the stripped section. Solder and wrap the connection with electrical tape, route the wire to the jvc, then strip and solder the other end to the pigtail of the head unit.

If you are also installing a camera seeing behind you when backing, you will need to run a wire to the back-up light on the driver side reverse light (light green) wire along with your video cable.

Suburu radio wire harness. trying to match up with a new soni deck

Hello uze7, Here is the wiring match up for a 2009 Subaru Forester using the Metra 70-7552 wiring harness: NOTE: The actual harness will be listed as a Nissan harness, but has been used by Subaru since 2007. Also, I'm assuming that your Sony deck uses the standard color code. If not, you should have a manual that lists the function along with the colors. Match the wiring by function, not by color (although the colors may be the same). 2009 Subaru Forester Radio Wiring Color Code: Battery BLUE/RED (+) RADIO HARNESS Accessory YELLOW/RED (+) RADIO HARNESS Ground BLACK (-) RADIO HARNESS Illumination VIOLET (+) RADIO HARNESS Dimmer BLACK/WHITE (-) RADIO HARNESS Power Antenna YELLOW/BLACK (+) RADIO HARNESS LF Speaker (+) BROWN LF Speaker (-) BROWN/WHITE RF Speaker (+) BLUE/WHITE RF Speaker (-) BLUE/YELLOW LR Speaker (+) WHITE/BLACK LR Speaker (-) RED/YELLOW RR Speaker (+) GRAY RR Speaker (-) GRAY/RED Metra Harness: Yellow ? 12V Constant Red ? 12V Accessory Black - Ground Orange ? Re sent wire diagram gat all messed up

Hi
have we spoke before in previous post?
the red can go to any 12v live peramanent such as wire to clock or other item that has power with ignition off and the same with the yellow if your putting these to the same permanent live say from clock you can join these to together red/yellow to red on clock
the black can go to any metal or neg wire.
This should then have your device working the only problem im looking at for you now is the pink wire as this stops you using the device whilst driving as it goes to handbrake but i need to find out if its live or negative.
You could just wire the red/yellow to live and black to earth then see if it switches on and works if not then let me know and ill see about the pink wire ok
Makes sure you use inline fuses on the live wires so as not to short the device out.
Make sure you know what is permanent live to put the yellow/red wire to.
It doesnt need to be ignition it only says this so you cant use it with ignition off but you can wire it into any live feed from clock or switches so its up to you what to wire it to its just the pink wire im concerned about.

PINK: does it tell you to put it to live or earth on handbrake switch?

let me know ok
