We moved our main computor with the wireless router to a bedroom and now my sons laptop which is in a newer addition won't work. It does work if he walks to the bottom of the steps closer to the wireless router. It just does not get the signal now. What do we do?

You can go to best buy or staples and purchase a range extender. Follow the instructions and it will greatly improve the wireless signal throughout your home.

X cube gaming system in son's bedroom never has 4 bars. Is there a way to improve the signal?

Usually this is because the router further away. As long as it's connected to your own wireless internet, you can always move the router closer.
The router is the box that provides the wireless internet. Try relocating it to a closer position in the house.
Best of luck!

Have moved my sons wii into his bedroom and now it will not connect to my bt hub in living room

I could be too far from the wireless router for the signal to connect. Try moving it closer and see if you can connect. If it is too far you can buy a wireless repeater which can extend your wireless network to a larger area.

I have a 5mb dsl service to my home.Works great on my cable connected desktop. My wireless router however has a download speed of only .31mbps to my laptop and my sons laptop is also around .3mbps.I have...

your router has nothing to do with your download speed your cable feeding through your main has the speed your router only gives you your enternet conection for you to go on enternet from a feed back what you can do is move lap top closer to the main router and see if that does any good.

Have a 2Wire Router from SBC that has recently been causing connection problems with my sons XBox. Low signal roughly 2 bars. Nothin has changed in the house. Have router in main bedroom, Xbox is in son's...

if signal is fading in and out there are a lot of factors. 1 have you installed an other electrical epuiment in the house? emf cause interference. 2 if you move the xbox to the same room as the router how is the signal? d3 do you have a laptop to try next to the xbox where it is at now and see the signal? if it is weak on ther laptop also get a new router.4 if the signal is good on the laptop your xbox is the problem.

Router issues in my apartment.

When to moved into the penthouse, there are more walls between the wireless router and the laptop in the bedroom. The walls are probably reinforced concrete walls which will stop or weaken the radio waves penetrating into different rooms. When you lived in a house this was not a problem.
The only way to solve this problem is to move the wireless router near an opening such as a door and move the laptop as close as possible to the wireless router to get a better signal strength.
The outer way is to install a wireless repeater or connect a long network cable to the router and the laptop.

I cannot connect my laptop computor to my main computor

Bluetooth is not WiFi,   they are two seperate technologies.

you need a Wireless adapter 802.11b/g for your laptop,

you would connect the two to each other using an adhoc connection,

If you had a wireless router for your internet you could connect directly to the router, (and then you would not have to have your main computer on for you to access the internet.

BTW if your Main machine is near your phone point (for internet connection) you would not need a wireless card for your pc, as you could connect via LAN cable to the wireless router (make sure you get one with lan ports)
