I have exactly the same problem. This is not the usual turn on the screen but when the screen is upside down, the touch with the stylus stay as it was, so you ca'nt put in your appointments.

Upside down. I have the problem as well, and the only way I have found to resolve it is to reset.

Upside down or just sideways? There is a "rotate" button on the bottom of the screen that allows you to go from landscape to portrait mode.

My Palm TX is not showing anything on the display. The hot sync is working. Only has Blank White screen. What is going on?

Hard reset. Hold the power button as you reset. Be careful, because it will erase everything on the pda.

I lost the Application feature on the Palm TX.How can I restore it back?

Do you know how you lost it? It should be hard programmed in the palm. It should be accessible by pressing the home key once or twice.
If I'm misunderstanding you and Application is an icon that you haven't personally deleted then your handheld may be in a different category than what you want. Tap the word at the top righthand corner of the screen and a drop down menu should show itself. Tap the top option which should display all icons installed (but not on a SD card) and hopefully that'll get things cleared up.
Hope this helps!

Calibrating touch screen never ends. just keeps on displaying targets, I just keep tapping

The Palm TX is notorious for digitizer failure which is what it sounds like you have. The are 3rd party solutions such as power digi which you can google. However it seems that the best method will be to replace the digitizer with a glass one. The plastic digitizer that Palm originally installed is not very reliable over time. There is a seller on e-bay that specializes in this and other Palm repairs. I believe it's called itsnotthere. You can also try to do it yourself. There are numerous demos on the internet that show how to do this if you are handy. Hope this helps.

Palm tx transfering music to device

Ptunes! It should have come with your TX software bundle, and it works with Windows Media Player.
  1. Rip your desired music to WMP. Keep WMP open.
  2. Connect your TX to your computer via USB cable.
  3. Open Ptunes on your TX.
  4. Select Sync from the ribbon at the top of your computer screen. Your TX should appear under devices in the top right. If not, click "Refresh Devices."
  5. Drag music from your WMP playlist to your sync list.
  6. Click Sync.
  7. Music should show up on your TX, ready to play.
  8. Click Stop Communicating on your TX before disconnecting from the computer.
To find your music in Ptunes:
  1. Open Ptunes on your TX .
  2. Click the music notes icon in the bottom right.
  3. Select from the folders displayed.
  4. Enjoy!
Please let me know if this helps.

White screen with vertical bands

I have experienced the exact same thing. No dropping the Palm. No moisture. Just turned it on at work and it had the lines. Fortunately the data was still available for a synch. Now I am ordering a complete LCM and digitizer from PDA Smart.com. See http://www.pdasmart.com/palm-tx-repair-parts.htm for the pricing. It isn't cheap, but I believe it will fix the problem.  Let me know what solution you came up with and how the issue is now. Thanks, er

do you have a screen protector? if so, i suggest checking to see if there is anything caught between it and the screen. there might be a speck of dirt or whatever that is causing that. also check for dirt accumulating around the edges.. hope that helps. good luck

hi, i have as well a palm TX, have you already try with the reset button at the back?..if yes and the problem has not resolved, ill recomend you to try to hotsync your palm with your computer and then format the PDA, you can do this by holding the reset button and the power button at the same time and then release them when the formating screen is on.
