I have an old samsung tocco f480 mode (on orange network)l. I have given it to my son but when i tried to put in another sim it says phone freeze how do iremove this to accept a tesco sim

your phone is locked to your network. you need to unlock it. there are many ways to unlock a phone. you can unlock it using software or hardware or through codes. if you ask me the codes are the best way to unlock it. unlocking through codes is the best and simple way to unlock any phone. i got my phone unlocked through this method only. you can get the codes either from your service provider or from any other service providers. getting codes from your service provider can be got only if your phone is within 6 months of the contract period.. i got the codes from a third party Classicunlocking.com provider since my phone is much older

Hey i had purchased a Samsung galaxy 3, 2 months ago.Its battery is frustrating It doesn't give even 4 hrs of talktime .My wifi, gps, internet nothing is on but still it looses 20% in 4-5 min of talk on gsm...

According to online specs, this is your phones battery:
Stand-by Up to 620 h (2G) / Up to 510 h (3G) Talk time Up to 15 h 30 min (2G) / Up to 7 h 15 min (3G)

4 hours is way too low. You might need to get it to a service center and it should be fine seeing you're still within your warranty period.

Can't switch on.

Is the phone in warranty period? If it is, then exchange the phone.

If it is not in warranty period...

try changing the battery. If you have another same kind of battery, try inserting that one. If the mobile works, then buy a new battery.

Here, the probable reason is...
1. the battery is not working OR
2. It is not charging (Bad Charger).

Battery is discharged very early even without use

Hello Sunil,

Knowing your phone's behavior, Its not usual that the battery if fully charged, will drain within the day, especially that you said even if it is not being used. I would highly advice that you avail the warranty of this phone since you have just purchased that unit. Do not rely on Nokia's customer service online. Go to the store where you made the purchase and avail the warranty. They should change the battery pack.

Problems when trying to charge my phone..

try soft-resetting it by taking the battery out and then putting it back in and turning on the phone. if the problem persists, you could try a different battery and/or different charger. if that still doesn't work, it's warranty time! call your carrier's cust. service or go into a corporate store and they can give you the number for the warranty dept.

Normally a drained battery would take about 30-40 minutes to charge, however if the battery charges in about 2-3 minutes or even faster (as in your case) the fault lies in the battery. If your phone isn't water dropped and is within the warranty period you will get a new battery. I would suggest u change the battery and check (maybe with another battery of a similar make) and then see the results before u could buy one.
