Why is my m6300 not booting up? I installed a new cover and HDD and the screen is blank when I power up. There is a beep and nothing. I removed the BIOS battery and placed it in the new cover before installing it. I do not have any disks. Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

Screw you laptop check the RAM remove it and clean with a eraser use another slot of the RAM. Put back the RAM. If the same things happen and no beep.
The cable for the back light inverter board may have come off on the mother board side or on the screen side.

2) Failed inverter board.
3) Failed lamp.

Dell Precision M6300 turns on and then nothing happens.

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.

you can not expect it to boot up from a blank hard drive
so you will have to go into the bios settings and change boot preference to cd or usb stck as first preference
you will then have to buy an operating system on a disc or win 10 on a usb stick so that it can boot up from that

Try removing the power ac adapter and battery. then only boot it up with just the AC adapter (no battery).

My pc still won't boot up

The beeps are beep codes. Were they short or long? Also do you know who makes your BIOS?
