I have lexmark z25 and need have disk that came with it, but it will not install ?? on my new comp.

Sadly Lexmark have not produced Windows 8 drivers for the Z25. In all honesty they do not list any Vista/Windows 7 drivers either. Generic windows drivers may do the trick, so I would advise running Windows Update (or the Windows 8 equivilant) to make sure they are completely uptodate.

Sorry I could not not offer a definative solution.

Just got new all in one comp. and my c6280 printer won`t work?

Not very specific. However, I would suggest that you go to START, SETTINGS and select and remove you printer. Then goto START< SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, Remove & Add(xp) [Programs & Features(vista). There install all programs relating to the printer.

Before reinstalling the printer, be sure to UNPLUG the USB cable. run the install disk.....do not plug the USB in until prompted. That should fix your problem.

Good luck

I recently bought a new hard drive to update the "tired out" model in my gateway model gt5674. i was told that i needed a SAS compatable motherboard to get this new hard drive installed. is there any...

Take the disk-drive back to the computer-store,
along with your computer, and exchange the new disk-drive for one that is compatible with your computer. Within 15 seconds of viewing the "inside" of your Gateway, they should be able to identify the correct model of disk-drive that will be compatible with your current motherboard.

Or, the more-expensive option: buy a PCI add-in card to add a 'SAS-compatible' interface (although I've never heard of such an interface!!!!) to your computer.

I AM UNABLE TO ADD MY PRINTER BACK ONTO MY COMPUTER AFTER REBOOTING THE COMP. i DO NOT HAVE MY START UP DISK AND I AM NOT COMP. SAVVY.

Did you reboot (restart) or did you do a restore? If you did a restart or turned off the computer and then turned it back on, I'd check for a bad cable. Many printers can be reset by unplugging the power and the USB cable (from both the computer and the printer) for a few minutes.

If you returned your computer to the original configuration or rolled back to a system restore point, then I can see losing your printer drivers.

will give you the drivers for most operating systems. Win7 has the drivers in the operating system.

If you use a Windows OS and your computer hasn't given you found new hardware dialog box, check if your cable is good and properly connected. (If it is attached through a print server, you may need to directly connect it to the computer to load the drivers.) Frequently, a bad USB cable or USB port can be identified by changing where you have the printer connected.

I hope this helps.

I want to add my PSC 1610 as a network printer (it's attached to a print server device). When adding the network printer windows asks for the *.inf file... I can't find this file on the installation disk...

i have the same printer- unplug the printer usb cable- un-install the printer- plug the usb back in. when the new device wizard comes up, tell you have cd. insert install cd- browse for your cd device letter- choose that. then re-install printer- full install! will prob. ask you to 'name' your printer!- write down that name! you'll need that, as well as your psc 1610 i.d. then , if your computer is the net-work comp., you need to set it up on control panel to share. then check other computers on network and see if they 'see' the hp psc 1610 and then add them to printer sharing- this is where you'll need the 'name'. i had less problem with w98se, than i did with xp pro or home! love you, microshaft!!
good luck!

Try add/remove hardware and when it asked for information you can go to the web or try the windows directory and the the directory inf (This is a system directory and you may have to display hidden files and folders) You could also download drivers from driverguide.com

the settings should still be installed on your comp acces controll panel and select printer and faxes this should give you a list of printers yours should be in this list if not have you still got disk if you havent the you could access controll paned and select hardware devices and make sure printer is plugged in then let your comp search for new devices when its finished select the printer from the list if you dont have disk it will ask if you have it select no then the comp will serarch for the setting for you but it should still be installed on your comp anyway. have you tried just plugging it in and trying it to see if it works cus your comp might just set itself up any way i hope this is some help to you

Lst ints disk can't get print to reinst

You need to get your local brand printer suppliers contact and physically apply for a new disc or a copy of one. Sometimes you can download it over the internet, but this is risky as it can download incorrectly or have read errors. Getting a new disk is the better way to go. I assume it is a new lexmark, not rebuilt etc. As you do not specify your location, i cannot direct you to your nearest lexmark centre, so type lexmark (your country/area) in ggogle searchbar, and follow best link. Search their database for your brand, contact them to get new disc.
