SGH-A701 Telstra Next G, got original disk for phone, cable and even downloaded Samsung PC Studio 3 off web. Brand new computer, high speed USB's and every time I plug the phone in it shuts down. With the small disk that came with cable, computer keeps searching for USB, let it go for 700 seconds with no result once. My charger in power point works in the phone socket fine so I gather sockets fine..............is there some phone setup I need to do? Very anoyed can't download my photos. G'day,Mate !!...My own personal experience with 'Samsung PC Studio' is...it is ,to put it mildly,obsolete,unless they have updated it.Also,I believe you are referring to a phone that was brand new in 2006.You could TRY using Samsung Kies,but,again,in my experience,that is a colossal waste of time ,also.Have you tried plugging phone in while computer is shut down,then powering computer back up ??
Also,the cord you are using may be fine for power,but not for DATA...have you tried switching usb cords to a known cord that is designed to enable data transmission ???(there is a major difference,it may power the phone fine,but it is not possible for data to be transmitted)Try this,and if it does not solve your problem(i.e. your computer does not "SEE" your phone),please post an advisory to that effect,and I will see if I can help you further-hope this solves / helps your problem...
And rather than spending $30 (US) on a phone cord at the retailers,check the Thrift stores...they will generally sell cords for One Dollar,US(not sure what that translates to in AU currency,sorry)
Yup,looking at the specs from 2006,that phone has a 2MegaPixel camera....there is probably a very limited amount of things you can do with it,especially regarding PC Connectivity.Sorry 'bout that.

You have to have an SD card and also a port for your computer to read SD Cards. You could send them through pic message but that takes awhile. Good luck.

Type *#9998*627837793# Go to the 'my parameters' and there you will find new menu where you can unlock phone.(not tested-for samsung C100)
To unlock a Samsung turn the phone off take the sim card and type the following code *#pw+15853649247w# .
Java status code: #*53696# (Samsung X600)
If you want to unlock your phone put a sim from another company then type *#9998*3323# it will reset your phone. Push exit and then push 7, it will reset again. Put your other sim in and it will say sim lock, type in 00000000 then it should be unlocked. Type in *0141# then the green call batton and it's unlocked to all networks. This code may not work on the older phones and some of the newer phones. If it doesn't work you will have to reset your phone without a sim in it by typing *#2767*2878# or *#9998*3855# (not tested)
