The ideal paper is around 80 GSM (gm2) if you are having problems with a BRAND NEW REAM of standard copy paper then your printer will need service.



paper that is thicker/heavier than this can actually cause more jams and problems and show worn out rollers earlier



These printers only tend to jam at the entry (pickup) near the base of the printer or in the fuser unit (hot area near the top)



if you are getting jams in multi page documents, have a look at which area the most crumpled piece of paper is in before you try and remove it.



the pick up rollers and separation pads are relatively cheap but the fuser units can be a bit pricey.

The printer driver is corrupted and need to reinstall and install the printer driver and again set up the printer again.

Here is the link to the manual, it says that the flashing light is PROBABLY caused by lack of toner and the first step is to replace/replenish the corresponding flashing light to the toner. It explains that when the light turns stys on all the time the toner will be empty.
With regards to the paper jamming, there is 3 pages on things to do or try.

I would recommend that you take it to a authorized printer repair shop and have them remove the paper. Printers have sensors that if not properly installed upon servicing the machine it will give error codes and stop the unit from printing.
When I have paper jams on my printers I always pull the paper from the discharge side to prvent any sensors being bent or broken. Good Luck!!!

Hi There is a sensor next to the fuser unit in the top rear left of the machine. It fails due to the fuser heat and causes this fault. It must be replaced, no choice. Good luck.

Please look at the printer properties under Paper, you will see that the type of paper used can be chosen.

1. This apparently makes the printer behave differently when the default is not chosen.

For example, when I choose Thick Paper, the printer feeds the paper inside the printer much slower than when default is chosen. This, most likely, is done to prevent the paper from jamming up somewhere inside from feeding too quickly.

Therefore, if one is finding that their printer is constantly having a paper jam, changing the paper type may have positive results.

2. Heat maybe another source of paper jams. Although there is no paper jammed in the laser printer, the laser printer may stop printing due from overheating. Therefore, if heat is the culprit, changing the paper type may not work.

if your printing is halfway to the exit. it is most likely the exit sensor is mulfunction.

Make sure the paper guides are not too tight and always fan the paper to rid static build-up before loading.
