The heads are cut off....I only have my dish remote, Is there a way to fix the format from that tv or a button on the tv itself it is a 52" or 60"

How did this start? you need the remote to change the settings in the first place, somebody used it to change the settings! Have you tried using the dish remote, did you change the format on dish? there is a place on the remote that changes the format from the sat signal also, should be a yellow bar below the live TV button. This is the way mine is set up but on other remotes there is still a button to change the format, look on the dish remote for this.

I own Toshiba DLP Projection 62 HM195. I hav e replaced D95LMP Lamp, Direct Tv installed new LNB at Dish, and new Receiver. I am losing picture quality. Is my problem O[ptics? Color Wheel? Is this a part I...

It could be the cable from the receiver to the TV. Check to see if the cable is an RG-6 and NOT RG-59 cable. Are you able to use RCA cables? They get much cleaner pictures and sound. If this still is a problem, you can get a small TV and connect it to see if the problem is still there! If it is, then your cable coming for the Dish could be bad. I believer the Cable Company will warrant that! I hope this helps...

Split one cable from the satellite to 2 receivers

Tibo, if you have more than one orbital you will not be able to do this. The way satellite technology operates each receiver must have a dedicated line to it unless you are operating in a QAM environement. QAM'S are usually found in hotels that offer a specific channel line up or large apartment complexes of thousands of units. If you can be more specific about your system such as receiver type, dish type, and LNB and orbital setup I might be able to assist you moreThe short of it is if you split the signal you will only be able to view half of your channels if at all.

I have got 2 cables coming from my sat dish

Well if you have two horns sticking out on the dish it means that those are your different angles 91 and 82 degrees I think thats right anyways those two cables should go into a box that splits the signal into one and then one cable from that would go from the box to your receiver.

if you are wanting you can also just hook up the 91 its the most used but you probably will be missing a few channels until it is set up properly.

if you only have one horn and two cables coming out of it it just means that you have the setup to run two receivers off that dish.

if you need more info please describe your setup a bit more for me.

Thanks hope this helped

My Sky system says there is no satellite signal being received. Have tried disconnecting box etc with no improvement. What else can I do?

press services then system set up then signal test the signal strenth and qaulity should be about half way at least it shows up grey lock indicator should be ok if it shows not locked your dish has been moved and needs to be alighned do this when the weather is fine clounds and rain reduce the signal and may even stop it all together sky will charge you £65 to alighn the dish but you can buy a meter and do your self get 1 from bandq ebay maplins worth checking for breakes in the cable going from your box to the dish and if you can try your box on a friends dish just to rule out a faulty box of course there is a chance the lnb on the dish has gone faulty but you can get these cheap to or even borrow a friends to try unscrew the cable and look how it is fixed on useualy they just pull of but it might have a clip on or tape on

if it is the same as directv - you used a splitter on the cable between the 2 boxes - you need to us a multi switch - or dual lnb

fyi - the boxes change channels by varying the voltage to the dish - if 2 boxes are giving different voltages it does not work
thanks

There might few possibilities:
Loose cable from the receiver to the diplexers, switches and LNB.
Defective LNB.
I would suggest to try swapping the receivers to isolate the possibility that one the receivers might defective as well.
Hope this helps.

Viewsat 9000hd receiver locked up

Unplug it and then plug it back in.. It should do a reset. If that don't work go to the set up menus and have it do a check switch. After it is done it will search for sat. then it should be OK
