Hi Ive brought a Sony 2dx-gt590ui and sub and amp got it all wired up but the sub only works on radio can you tell me what Ive done wrong???

You can try to connect the remote power wire at amplifier to main power with a jumper wire if sub works with cd and other sources. Then check remote wire from behind radio or you can simply connect remote power wire to a another switched power source from fuse panel.Just make sure its a clean dedicated power source from fuse box and make sure it turns off amp..Goodluck

Kickers dont beat like they should

try to check and clean the wiring as clean as possible to avoid messing up on your connection. Check the polarity of you subs to yuor amp if you have it connected on the outher way around it would not give you a good result. check the polarity this will solve your problem. Over powering your sub will fry it easily try to tune it a 10" sub wont give you a 15" performance..

Subs dont beat like they should

you've spent alot of money on **** by the sounds of it!!. you should only ever run multiple subs the same brand, power and resistance you can just connect any old subs to a system you need to wire them depending on the load that the amp needs to see. first thing is to try the amp/s on a individual sub to check your amps still work once done check the subs 1 by 1.

Amp works when beaten

It sounds like you have a broken connection in the amplifier. The first thing to check is the fuse. Sometimes the contacts become weak on the fuse holder and the connection becomes intermittent. Any other troubleshooting would require opening up the amp. Any repairs would require resoldering the broken connection.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Car sound system. only sub is giving off sound. other 4 speakers dont work at all

Could be bad outputs from the back of your head unit or also could be bad rca cables. Make sure the amp is on and powered.

Red LED "Protection Light is on" What is the problem

The red light means the amp is in protection mode. A few things can cause protection mode..... First disconnect the subs completely from the amp, and turn it on, if it powers up you have blown subs. Also try checking the main power wire at the battery...sometimes the current your meter is seeing is backfeeding from the remote wire, so your main power line could be blown at the fuse under the hood. hope this helps

Power to the amp

Check the signal from your RCA'S   Your head unit may not be putting any output out of the rca jacks on the rear.  Or you could have a bad set out.   As long as your voltages are right on your positive terminal and remote and you have signal the only other reason your amp will not have any output is if the internals are bad.
