I need to connect my remote wire to a accessory wire but i dont know which one is the accessory wire. I dont have that light tester thing so I cant try it out. I heard you can just tap it with some fuse and it'll work but i dont want it to burn it out. What should i do?

The accessory wire that you are looking for is the one that tells the head unit to turn on when you turn the key in car. If you have an aftermarket deck then the deck has it's own for the amp usually it is blue and in your case may not be connected to anything. If you don't have an aftermarket deck you will need to find a wiring diagram for the car radio harrness and it will be labeled. You dont want to use any random wire because if that wire always has power your amp will stay on and kill battery. You can wire a switch if you choose this method to prevent that from happening. You may also try running a wire from main power of amp to a small fuse (remote uses less than 2A) then to a switch and then back to remote screw of amp.
This website has wiring diagrams but colors dont always match. http://www.the12volt.com/ Good Luck

Horn stopped working, radio stopped working, interior light won't come on, changed fuses still nothing

all of these things probably run off the same fuse if all of the fuses are OK the next thing to check is the wiring, there may be a loose wire or connection I dont know what fuses you have checked the main fuse box is under the hood but you may find one under the dash as well sometimes a fuse looks OK but it has a break in it that is hard to see if you have a continuity tester use that to check, it may be the accessories fuse that you need to check......hope this helps.....cheers

I hav a 95 berrta and im tying to put a head unit

Hello chrisuftring,

Here's a link to the wiring color code for the '95 Chevy Beretta.

You'll need to match the function of each wire from your head unit and the color code for that would be in your manual. Most aftermarket units are somewhat standard as far as power, accessory, ground, and speaker connections are concerned. But the wiring colors may be different for such leads as remote, power antenna, illumination, dimmer, and muting.

An Alpine head unit has the following wiring colors:
Blue - Power Antenna
Blue/White - Remote
Pink/Black - Audio Interrupt (muting)
Orange - Illumination
Red- Switched 12V+
Yellow - Constant 12V+
Black - Ground
Gray - RF Speaker (+)
Gray/Black - RF Speaker (-)
White - LF Speaker (+)
White/Black LF Speaker (-)
Violet - RR Speaker (+)
Violet/Black RR Speaker (-)
Green - LR Speaker (+)
Green/Black - LR Speaker (-)

With this head unit, you would wire Yellow to Orange, Red to Yellow, Black to Black, Orange to Gray, Blue to Pink, Gray to Light Green, Gray/Black to Dark Green, White to Tan, White/Black to Gray, Violet to Dark Blue, Violet/Black to Light Blue, Green to Brown, and Green/Black to Yellow.

Note that there are 2 "yellow" wires in your vehicle color code. You'll have to test them to determine which one is the accessory wire and which one goes to the left rear speaker. Using a 12V "test light" is the simplest. Connect one side of the light to ground. With the ignition ON probe the yellow wires. One of them should light the tester, the other one won't. Verify that the light goes out when the ignition is OFF and your have separated the redundant "yellows". The one that lit the tester is your 12V+ switched wire and the other one goes to the left rear speaker.

Hope this helps.

Jeep wont start after i replaced crank pos. sensor

two things to check first there is an adjustment on that sensor small piece of paper on end of sensor has to contact fly wheel and be torn off at start up adjust to just touch flywheel should do the trick.second is the connector snapped tight. and the wires on those motors are know to have problems just un hook sensor and disconnect battery cable and use a self powered cheap conuity tester on both wires to pcm . u dont need a diagram for this test because the tester will find the wires at pcm if there ok. if you find a open wire open the harness and follow the wire to pcm keep checking along the way with cheap tester dont use a test light ask for connuity tester. hope this helps.it may also need to be resncyed with cam sensor.

Car stereo

its pretty simple, the remote wire is used to tell the amplifier that the cd player has came on. once the cd player has came on, the amp then comes on. simply take a light tester that has a sharp tip, turn the ignition until the cd player comes on, and start testing all of the wires. when you hit a wire in which the light tester says there is power flowing through it, turn the cd player off. if the light goes off with the cd player, you have found a wire that is suitable for a remote wire. dont know how to use a light tester? http://www.bcae1.com/testlite.htm

Wiring colors

You will need a voltmeter. Normally red is power, black i ground, yellow is memory power. the best way to know for sure is to use a voltmeter to test what each wire is recieving in power and when. If the key is off then the wire that has 12volts dc is for memory and the main power wire should be at 0volts dc. When the key is on that wire should have power now. the ground will be black on that car. Good luck.
