Most Charbroils use an inverted V over the burners. The hot juices and fats drip onto them to make a charcoal type taste. Unless the unit came with bricketts, they're not needed. My unit doesn't have them.

I don't seem to be able to get the Brickettes Hot

Whether using a gas canister or a tank, To solve this problem, first be sure you have adequate gas in the tank. If that checks out OK, do the following:

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank. Or remove the canister from
it's holder.

2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Or reinstall the canister into the holder.

3. Open the tank valve or canister valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).

4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner and set the burner
control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light
any remaining burners the same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you solved
the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa. Happy Grilling!!

The flames are uneven, i have the ceramic v shaped covers fror the burners, not charcoal or rocks. the heat is all at the back, it gets very hot there and is corroding the burners and the ceramic...

What you have is a bad case of clogged burners. At least the ends closer to you. This will require removing & cleaning the burners and the venturi valves (part of each burner) to thoroughly clean them
This will also provide you a closeup inspection of all the burners for any accessive wear, or rust thru.

Once the burners are removed, use a brass bristle brush to clean the exterior of the burners and then gently yet firmly tap them on something that want damage them, Then turn them so the open end is down and any debris will fall out. Also clean the Venturi valve on each burner. It will be on the burner tube, where it fits over the burner orifice. It will look like 2 slots (1 on each side) cut out of the burner tube. Spiders like to build nest in them. After you have completed all of that, reinstall the burners, turn the gas tank back on Very, Very Slowly and give them a test. You should see a significant difference.

Hope this helps you solve the burner problem. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!

I have a 3 burner spirit grill. I can light the grill, but only burner 3 gives me a nice even line of blue flame. Burner 2 seems to be the worst with oranges flames on the right and left end. Burner 1...

Charcoal and grease build up can restrict even the best gas burners , my suggestion is to clean your gas burners with a burner tip tool . You can purchase these at Lowes or Menards . Here is a website for you to visit to get the ideal . http://www.metaltech.com.sa/victor/tips.htm

We have a spirit grill with 3 burners. I can light the grill, but burners 1 & 2 don't have a nice line of blue flame like burner 3. Burner 2 is especially bad with orange flames on the right and left...

Are you sure there's adequate gas in the tan? If so do the following:

Disconnect the LP tank from the grill hose. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect to the tank. Open the tank valve VERY,VERY SLOWLY, until it is full open. Light your burners individually and turn to highest flame setting, before lighting the next burner and so on.

If that solved your problem GREAT. Remember to turn the tank on that way in the future.
If it didn't you'll need to remove the burners and clean each one.

Hope this helped to get you back up and grilling again.

Need photo of how to replace the 5 "V" shaped

The 'V' shaped metal bars are the flavorizer, flame tamer or whatever Weber wants to cal them. They go over top of each burner from front to rear, setting on the ledge of the interior of the grill, just above the burners. make sure that cover each burner equally. Now's a good time to clean them if they have a lot of grease on them.

Since the grill was blown off your deck ... make sure all the burners are intact are not damage and there are no gas leaks from tank to the grill.

Back burner makes periodic clicking noise and flames increase

This clicking noise would be an indication that the burner is 'burnt out'. Burners have individual ports that release individual flames to create one big flame.

If the burner has a hole in it or the burner's internal baffles are burnt out the burner will make a 'popping' or 'clicking' noise.

Also, heat makes metals expand and when metal expands it makes a clicking noise. The increase in flame could be because the burner has a large hole in it or the holes are increasing in size as they expand, thus throwing a larger flame.

Just a thought.

My grill burners burn unevenly and usually too high. Adjustment?

If this is a natural gas grill, check to see if it has a regulator on the gas line. If it does not, you can install a regulator to reduce the gas flow.

Soot gathers on everything

The smoke will stop when whatever is on the brickettes is burned off. Leave the unit on high heat for about 10 minutes and it should clear it. If not, get replacement product.

Uneven heat from burners

I'm experiencing the same problem, the left side has the least heat, and it seems to be getting way worse over time.  Has anyone found a solution for this yet?
