Question about Acer AL1716 17" LCD Monitor
Hi, I used to repair a monitor from
Dell. You might have to check what wrong with your monitor by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or any image, there will be a minor problem like broken lamps and it is very easy to replace. But the most important part is you need to know how to teardown the screen. Actually, a flat dell screen has 4 screws at the rear panel and no ***** for front frame. For you LCD monitor, If there
is no visible *****, you have to look for "capped" ***** holes
(little covers that fit flush with the case to hide the screws). If you don't
see these neither, this must be a tension fit case. So, following these step by step
1. face the screen up and look for "rectangular hole" on the side edge (usually at the bottom edge of the screen). This will be a challenge to open without breaking it.
2.You'll need a very thin flat ***** driver and wedge it into that narrow rectangular hole. You can use any prybar if you don't have ***** driver.
3.It is not too deep. You may stab something important inside and pry it. Once it starts to spread, start sliding it along the seem and you should feel the tension tabs start "popping" open. 4.Continue to work your way around until it's off.
Hope this help you to get the remove the back cover off. If there is anything I can help you with, feel free to let me know.
