HOW DO I PLAY A DVD USING Hitachi Flat Panel Television 32HDL51 (ITS CONNECTED THROUGH HDMI CABLE)

Page 18 of the manual, you shouldn't need to do steps 2 or 3.

CONNECTING A COMPONENT SOURCE WITH HDMI or DVI CAPABILITY TO INPUT 1 or INPUT 2
1.Connect the HDMI or DVI to HDMI connection cable from the output of the HDTV set top box or DVD player to the HDMI input as shown on the AVC Center below.
2.With DVI output, connect the cable from the AUDIO OUT R of the HDTV set top box or DVD player to the INPUT (AUDIO/R) jack.
3.With DVI output, connect the cable from the AUDIO OUT L of the HDTV set top box or DVD player to the INPUT (AUDIO/L) jack.
4.Press the INPUTS button, then select INPUTS 1 or 2 to view the program from the HDTV set top box or DVD player. The VIDEO OSD label disappears automatically after approximately four seconds.
5.Select ANT A or B from the INPUTS menu to return to the previous channel.
NOTES:1. Completely insert the connection cord plugs when connecting to rear panel jacks. The picture and sound that is played back will be abnormal if the connection is loose.
2. The HDMI input on INPUT 1 or 2 contains the copy protection system called High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP). HDCP is a cryptographic system that encrypts video signals when using HDMI connections to prevent ******* copying of video contents.
3.HDMI is not a "NETWORK" technology. It establishes a one-way point-to-point connection for delivery of uncompressed video to a display.
4.The connected digital output device controls the HDMI interface so proper set-up of device user settings determines final video appearance.

My TV is frozen with this picture on the screen. I unplug the TV and nothing happens. The picture below is what it looks like with the TV unplugged. Can you please help?

What is causing the HDMI 1 display on the TV if the "TV" is unplugged?? What you have pictured is more typical of having the "Source" of the TV chosen as the HDMI 1 input to the TV, not the cable input, and having no live device plugged into the HDMI 1 input. Check your manual for how to select different input sources for your TV, make sure all devices attached to the TV are turned on, including the cable box, and try selecting the various inputs until you get the signal you are looking for.

On my LT42HVi with HDMI input source, the image comes through with a lot of green then will change back to normal color. Switching cables or HDMI input port makes no difference. Using normal TV inpu

is the normal tv input for high definition? Don't understand that term. I have a dish receiver, when I use an hdmi cable I get a really nice picture even with Roku

No signal from HDMI mode when I switch on the TV

HDMI is an input to the TV not an output. You select the appropriate input e.g hdmi 1, hdmi 2 on the remote. There can be a return signal the other way but the cable has to support that. Try a different hdmi cable.

Just bought a samsung plasma hd tv. we are able to get satelite w/ sound but once we try to connect to the dvd/ vcr and playstation 2, we are unable to get sound or it shows up in black and white.need step...

Hi,here is my solution...
to listen your TV on your
stereo System
** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" or "HDMI out "of your TV
** to "AUX input " or "TV" OR "Any input" of your receiver or "Optic Cable input" or "HDMI input"
** than just switch to respective mode on
RECEIVER corresponding your RCA or Optic or HDMI connection
.
There you go..Your TV sound is on the
stereo Receiver..By this means whatever you watch on the TV (TV tuner, satellite , Xbox ..etc.) ,it's sound will come thru your stereo..

Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

No input signal hdmi

Make sure the HDMI connection is secure. Madke sure it is on the correct input. Turn on the peripheral first, i.e. dvd, cable box, etc. then turn on the tv. If you still have problems, test whether or not the HDMI cable is bad by trying with another device. If okay, make sure the device or peripheral works with a different type cable. Try to change the inputs from HDMI input 1 to say HDMI input 2, etc. If you can't get HDMI to work just switch it to component. HDMI video is not Superior to component it just affords one to have true 5.1 surround sound broadcast.

Our new vizio tv is hooked up just like our old tv, (satellite provider being dish network) and it says no signal with a blue screen

Hello. This is usually an easy issue to fix. To get the DISH Network back on the screen, i have included a few steps:

If you are at TV1, where the receiver box is located, the tv needs to be on channel 3 or 4. Depending on the cable that is running between the receiver and the tv, the tv may need to be on an input, such as video 1 or 2. If you are at the TV2 location, where there is no receiver, then the tv needs to be on channel 60 or 73.

If you are using an HDMI cable, then the TV will need to be on an HDMI input
If you are using Component cables, your TV will need to be on a component input. (Usually Comp 1 or 2)
If you are using RCA cables, then the TV will need to be on a VIDEO input (Usually Video 1 or 2)
If you are using COAX cables, then the tv needs to be on channel 3 or 4 (If you are at TV2, then the TV needs to be on channel 60 or 73)

I have samsung le40b651 how can i conecct it to satelite dishe and what kind of cable should i use?

For the best signal, use a HDMI cable. There is a HDMI out put on your Sat box and a HDMI input on the set. Reading the owners manual that came with the tv will help locate these input/outputs
