Connect two computers to D-Link ADSL Modem (DSL-502T)

There are many USB to ethernet adapters available, for example - Belkin USB to Ethernet Adapter with 2m Patch Cable from Amazon. Your laptop may only be USB version 1.0 so it would be best to make sur the adapter supports USB 1.0 and 2.0.

D-LINK 502T ,NO CD to loaded it on my computer, help?

when installing a modem, you do not need any kind of CD. As long as you have internet subscription and the modem is compatible with it, it should work just fine :)

Hope this helps!

Setting up for broadband

Hi,

First, you might want to check with Plusnet the login information and the type of the authentication they have. Secondly, setup your router, login to your router using a web browser. Type 10.1.1.1 in the address bar and press enter key.Login using the default setting username 'admin' and password 'admin'.

Click on Home tab and then on WAN on the left side of the screen.Select PPPoE/PPPoA option.Under Connection Type select 'PPPoE LLC' in the drop-down menu.Enter username and your password. Please check with your provider if not sure again.
If you have connection with static IP address, you do not have to specify the IP settings on the router: the router will be getting the same IP from your ISP every time it connects.Click on Apply. To save the settings into the router's memory go to Tools > [System] > Save and Reboot.Give the router a minute or two to reboot and reconnect.

Lastly, Restart your computer and you should be able to access the Internet. You do not have to run any login client on any of your computers because your router logs to your ISP automatically.

No power

cain9:
If I am not mistaken I think you used the power adapter from 302g to 502t?, if yes try simply using the adapter that came with 502t, also please try any other power source from wall socket and try replacing your power bar. If nothing comes up then it could be hardware failure.
I had the same issue with my Dlink router but that was simply the power surge that effected my Dlink router as being continous ON.
I recommend to start using power surge they add a little cost but are really big time savers for things which have to stay ON.
Hope that helped!
