Did you try to clean your memory and the memory slots?if not try this,turn off your pc,remove the memory clean it, using the rubber eraser ,the clean the memory slots using a contact cleaner,the let it dry,put back again then turn it on,if its work good,if not, try this, check your numlock key on your keyboard by turning on and off,if the indicator lite on and off the problem is your Video card.

Hi.first pull-out your motherboard in the CPU case then power on without memory only processor installed.if you hear continuous beeping your motherboard is working good.
try this beep code means.

No beep means short,no power,bad CPU,loose peripherals.
One beep means everything is normal running motherboard.
Two beep means CMOS error IC.
One long beep,one short beep means motherboard problem.
One long beep,two short beeps means video card problem.
Three long beeps means keyboard error.
Repeated long beeps means memory error.
Continuous hi-lo beeps means CPU overheating.

BIOS Beep Codes

When a computer is first turned on, or rebooted, it's BIOS performs a power-on self test (POST) to test the system's hardware, checking to make sure that all of the system's hardware components are working properly. Under normal circumstances, the POST will display an error message; however, if the BIOS detects an error before it can access the video card, it will produce a series of beeps, and the pattern of the beeps indicates what kind of problem the BIOS has detected. Because there are many brands of BIOS, there are no standard beep codes for every BIOS.

The two most-used brands are AMI (American Megatrends International) and Phoenix.

Below are listed the beep codes for AMI systems, and here are the beep codes for Phoenix systems.

AMI Beep Codes

Beep Code Meaning
1. beep DRAM refresh failure. There is a problem in the system memory or the motherboard.
2. beeps Memory parity error. The parity circuit is not working properly.
3. beeps Base 64K RAM failure. There is a problem with the first 64K of system memory.
4. beeps system timer not operational. There is problem with the timer(s) that control functions on the motherboard.
5. beeps Processor failure. The system CPU has failed.
6. beeps Gate A20/keyboard controller failure. The keyboard IC controller has failed, preventing gate A20 from switching the processor to protect mode.
7. beeps Virtual mode exception error.
8. beeps Video memory error. The BIOS cannot write to the frame buffer memory on the video card.
9. beeps ROM checksum error. The BIOS ROM chip on the motherboard is likely faulty.
10. beeps CMOS checksum error. Something on the motherboard is causing an error when trying to interact with the CMOS.
11. beeps Bad cache memory. An error in the level 2 cache memory.

1 long beep, 2 short Failure in the video system.
1 long beep, 3 short A failure in the video system.
1 long beep, 8 short display test failure.
Continuous beeping A problem with the memory or video.
BIOS Beep Codes

Phoenix Beep Codes

Phoenix uses sequences of beeps to indicate problems. The "-" between each number below indicates a pause between each beep sequence.
For example, 1-2-3 indicates one beep, followed by a pause and three beeps. Phoenix version before 4.x use 3-beep codes, while Phoenix versions starting with 4.x use 4-beep codes.

The PC does not start.Only it beeps and a red light blinks,also fen is not working.

Also you do not indicate which fan? I would guess you mean the main Power Supply (PS)? In which case it could just be you need to replace the PS.

Phoenix BIOS ERROR BEEP CODES
Phoenix BIOS beep codes are a series of beeps separated by a pause, for example:
beep --- beep beep --- beep --- beep beep would be 1-2-1-2
  • 1-1-4-1 - Cache Error (level 2)
  • 1-2-2-3 - BIOS ROM Checksum
  • 1-3-1-1 - DRAM Refresh Test
  • 1-3-1-3 - Keyboard controller test
  • 1-3-4-1 - RAM Failure on address line xxxx (check memory)
  • 1-3-4-3 - RAM Failure on data bits xxxx of low byte of memory bus
  • 1-4-1-1 - RAM Failure on data bits xxxx of high byte of memory bus
  • 2-1-2-3 - ROM copyright notice
  • 2-2-3-1 - Test for unexpected interrupts

Will not turn and will not stop beeping


Beep codes can tell you what is wrong with your computer. (Assuming your motherboard uses the IBM codes that many manufacturer's use) If the continuous beeping involves long beeps, it's a memory issue. Pull out and reseat the sticks. (Try them one at a time). This involves opening the case, pushing down the clips on the ends of the memory stick and then pulling them up and pushing them back (keep the orientation the same and aligned). The memory is fully seated when the clips pop back into the memory stick's edge (there is a little shaped area that the clip fits into.).

If you here high-low beeps, then you have a CPU overheating issue.

Check your manual for the specifics on your machine's BIOS and then you can search for the beep codes for that motherboard.

When booting the screen says no signal and the it begins beeping intermedately


I think the graphics card has become unseated as the PC does not need a monitor to start up so there would be no beeps; Here is a list of beep codes with there meanings.

be a bad timer. The system timer failed to work properly. It will
require motherboard replacement.

Memory test failure. An error has been detected
in the memory over the first 64K. Try replacing the memory, and if
that doesn’t do it, the motherboard.

Beep codes are the beeps you hear from the
PC speaker when you turn on your computer. They are your computer’s way of letting you know what’s going on when there is no video signal. These codes are programmed into the BIOS of the PC.

Do you get video? If so then it could be a stuck key on the keyboard.

AMI BIOS Beep Codes

 1 Short Beep One beep is good! Everything is ok, that is if you see things on the screen. If you don't see anything, check your monitor and video card first. Is everything connected? If they seem fine, your motherboard has some bad chips on it. First reset the SIMM's and reboot. If it does the same thing, one of the memory chips on the motherboard are bad, and you most likely need to get another motherboard since these chips are soldered on. 
2 Short Beeps Your computer has memory problems. First check video. If video is working, you'll see an error message. If not, you have a parity error in your first 64K of memory. First check your SIMM's. Reseat them and reboot. If this doesn't do it, the memory chips may be bad. You can try switching the first and second banks memory chips. First banks are the memory banks that your CPU finds its first 64K of base memory in. You'll need to consult your manual to see which bank is first. If all your memory tests good, you probably need to buy another motherboard. 
3 Short Beeps Basically the same thing as 2 beeps. Follow that diagnosis above. 
4 Short Beeps Basically the same thing as 2 beeps. Follow that diagnosis above. It could also be a bad timer 
5 Short Beeps Your motherboard is complaining. Try reseating the memory and rebooting. If that doesn't help, you should consider another motherboard. You could probably get away with just replacing the CPU, but that's not too cost-effective. Its just time to upgrade! 
6 Short Beeps The chip on your motherboard that controls your keyboard (A20 gate) isn't working. First try another keyboard. If it doesn't help, reseat the chip that controls the keyboard, if it isn't soldered in. If it still beeps, replace the chip if possible. Replace the motherboard if it is soldered in. 
7 Short Beeps Your CPU broke overnight. Its no good. Either replace the CPU, or buy another motherboard. 
8 Short Beeps Your video card isn't working. Make sure it is seated well in the bus. If it still beeps, either the whole card is bad or the memory on it is. Best bet is to install another video card. 
9 Short Beeps Your BIOS is bad. Reseat or Replace the BIOS. 
10 Short Beeps Your problem lies deep inside the CMOS. All chips associated with the CMOS will likely have to be replaced. Your best bet is to get a new motherboard. 
11 Short Beeps Your problem is in the Cache Memory chips on the motherboard. Reseat or Replace these chips.
1 Long, 3 Short Beeps You've probably just added memory to the motherboard since this is a conventional or extended memory failure. Generally this is caused by a memory chip that is not seated properly. Reseat the memory chips.
1 Long, 8 Short Beeps Display / retrace test failed. Reseat the video card.

  1. Clean cooling components that have become clogged with dust. If beeping persists, continue to the next step.
  2. Remove a memory module. If the PC stops beeping, the memory module may be bad, is the wrong type of memory for the motherboard, or was not fully seated/connected. Try reseating the memory into the socket to see if a connection was the problem, otherwise replace the module. Remove each memory module, replacing the one that was previously removed. Once all modules have been checked, if beeping persists, continue to the next step.
  3. If your computer has a graphics card, remove it. If the beep code changes or continues with the same beep pattern, the video card may still be good. reseat the video card into its socket and continue to the next step. If the beep code goes away, the video card may be bad. Try reseating the video card, making sure it is fully locked into the connector on the motherboard. If problems persist, replace the card.
  4. Remove a PCI card. If the beep code goes away, the card may be bad. Try reseating the card into its connector on the motherboard. If problems persist, replace the card. Remove each PCI card, replacing the one that was previously removed. Once all cards have been checked, if beeping persists, continue to the next step.
  5. Disconnect hard drives and CD/DVD drive cables (IDE/ATA) from the motherboard socket. If the beep code goes away, the cable or socket is probably bad. Look for bent pins inside the IDE socket on the motherboard and straighten any bent pins. Try reseating the cables into the connectors. If problems persist, the drive itself may be bad and may need to be replaced. Disconnect each drive cable, replacing the one that was previously disconnected, until all have been checked. Once all connections have been checked, if beeping persists, continue to the next step.
  6. At this point, the problem probably involves the motherboard or processor. Make sure any jumpers on the motherboard have not fallen off their pins and into the case. Make sure jumpers are set correctly.

The beeps that you are hearing are messages created by the POST (Power On Self Test) to indicate that something is wrong. If you know your motherboard type it is possible to find the documentation explaining what 3 beeps mean.

Because we don't know the motherboard type (At least for now) let's use the common sense.  Did you verify that the power supply is properly connected to the drive?  Can you confirm that removing the second Hard drive it boot again ok? In some type of BIOS 3 beeps means memory problem. By accident did you touch the memory? Are all the ribbon cables well plugged in?
