I have a ML 1710 .Not my area of expertise but I took out the paper and could not see a jam. Took toner out , a little cleaning, plugged and unplugged from computer several times. I found paper jammed in the very back ,folded so tight nothing was showing. Mine has a back door and the paper is having trouble rounding the last bend and coming out. So I leave the back door open to get my copies. Green light on.
When you pull the paper out, that affect paper loading switch inside(or paper status monitering switch)
pull all the paper out, check switch inside near Loding roller
put you paper back and Put the tonner cartridge back, close the door and try agian ( i solved my problem this way)
First open all covers and make sure there is not another piece of paper stuck in the machine. Check under the toner cartridge. If you are sure there is no other paper stuck, try unplugging the machine wait about a minute and plug back in.
