The maximum amount of RAM that your laptop can support is 2GB. you can get it from most places that sell computer components, just look for DDR2 SODIMMs or DDR2 laptop memory.

If you paste, your make & model of your laptop into a search engine,ie (Google) it will show you many sites that have information on your laptop and places where you may purchase items for it .one example is http://www.paulschiro.com/laptop.pdf
gives you the spec's of your machine.

good luck

Wheres the ram?

RAM modules must be installed in special locations on the motherboard called Sockets. These memory sockets are what hold the RAM module in place and can range from 1 to 16 or more. Banks consist of a group of 1 or more sockets. A system can have 1 or more of these banks of sockets. If a system has more than 1 socket in a bank, a Kit must be purchased for that bank. A kit is simply more than one, usually 2 or 4, like RAM modules. All sockets in a bank must be filled. Typically you will see 2x512MB or 2x256MB signifying you get 2 units of 512MB RAM modules or 2 units of 256MB RAM modules, respectively.
The Toshiba Satellite A40-S270 has 2 bank(s) which have 1 socket(s) in each bank for a total of 2 memory socket(s). This means the Satellite A40-S270 can support up to 2 individual RAM modules.
Below is a visual representation of the memory bank(s) and socket(s) configuration for the Toshiba Satellite A40-S270.
socket_1.gifsocket_1.gif This graphical representation above details what the memory configuration would look like with the maximum memory installed and does not necessarily model your system memory configuration. This graphical representation is not drawn to scale and should only be used as a general reference. Please consult your system’s user manual for your actual memory configuration.

When wireless switch is flipped on Toshiba laptop Satellite A105-S2716 - the screen goes black and blinks repeatedly. I thought my screen was going bad but as soon as I flip the wireless switch to 'off'...

this could be a connection problem with the wireless antenna, which is interfering with the monitor, as most laptops have a high effeciency antenna which is fitted in the screen surround, so i would send to a qualified repairer to check it out.

Can I upgrade my Toshiba A105-S4011 CPU processor (solo Core T1300 processor)? What is it compatible to?

if you are looking for performance, you may want to start with the RAM first. It is DDR2 and that laptop is able to go up to a max of 4GB RAM. If that doesn't speed things up, consider getting a 7200RPM hard drive. Laptop processors rather difficult to upgrade. It will require disassembling the laptop completely and theres a good chance that something will be damaged in the process

How to reboot my toshiba satellite a100/a105 without recovery disk

I don't think "reboot" is the phrase you are really asking about.

To reboot is simply shutting your computer down and then letting it re-start itself.

To re-install the Operating System, and its drivers for that laptop, is another story.

To do that, if you do not have a recovery disk, would involve having a legit copy of windows, and then another computer to download the network drivers for that computer (either on a flash, CD, or floppy) to install on laptop to connect to the internet to retrieve the rest of the drivers for that laptop that can be found at:

Memory card

Hey there speedboy2024, the answer is 768mb, spread over three SDram memory slots. I would try 256/256/128, if you were trying to max. Good Luck!
