The best solution is to use your Service Tag number located underneath your Dell Latitude E5500 and go to http://support.dell.com/. By keying in your Service Tag number, or using the Detect My Product button the website should tell you what hardware is installed in your Laptop.
Another option is to go to the BIOS (Reboot your laptop and Press F1) to look through the settings for Bluetooth.
If my memory serves me, these models could support Bluetooth but did not include the Bluetooth module. The best bet is to go to the website listed above and check to see what Dell says you have.
