Re: tried printing on CD Sleeves and the plastic started...
You can try to lower the temperature of the fuser while printing the sleeves. From the "menu", select "maintenance", then "adjust fuser". The default setting I believe is 0. it can be adjusted from -4 to +2. Lower the setting to -1 and test. If that does not work, try -2, and so on... until the lowest setting at which it does not damage the sleeve. IF you go all the way to -4 and it still warps, then you will not be able to use it for this purpose. Do not forget to set the fuser BACK to the default setting after printing this media.

The gray/brown colored plastic is actually the teflon sleeve from the fuser unit in the printer. The fuser is the part that heats up and melts the toner onto the paper. Your fuser sleeve has torn and is being ripped every time you try to print and pieces are coming out causing the bad print. You will need to replace the fuser, the part number is FG6-7947-150 you can order one from several places on the internet.

First click "Print" in there you will see "Adjust print position", adjust to 0.1mm up and 0.1mm left this should center. Depending on the label you're using you will have to keep adjusting until you get the right result.
Scrapbooks work very well and they come in such beautiful sets of ornamentation etc. that you can create a beautiful wedding album. Or you can purchase a beautiful 3 ring binder and use the more expensive plastic sleeves that are sturdy and insert all of your 8 X11 pages into them. Or you can make every document or photo that you print 8x10 by setting up your printer to print that way. Good luck to you!!
Julie, I believe that there are kits available that include sheets of CD sleeves and software to help you print to them. Otherwise, if just printing simple labels you could set up the print job to print in the section of the sheet where the sleeve you're printing resides. If the sleeves are stacked and not like 6 to a 8 1/2" X 11" sheet, then I imagine it would be just like setting your printer up to feed envelopes (if that's possible, in the old days we would but the sleeve in a typewriter and viola. We didn't have a choice on the font though. :( I hope another one of us posts an easier solution for you, and Good Luck.
