Suddenly the freezer is no longer frost free. It's not that old.

Since no one is answering I do have some knowledge, check the defrost thermostat, which puts the unit in defrost mode to melt small frost build-ups, also check seal on your door to make sure you are not getting warm air leaking into freezer, good luck

Fridge too cold!

don't forget that just turning down your fridge temp dose not mean your problem might be over yet. the freezer setting may also be too high & that will affect your fridge temp as well. i set both my control settings to around 50% of what is on the scale & that works perfect for my 7 yr old fridge. also, very important, is make sure the freezer portion is going through it's full defrost cycles, or it will freeze the upper portion inside the fridge. you should not have any frost build up in your fridge, nor should you have any in your freezer. that's why they call them FROST FREE. try the slow temp decrease over a period of a few days & hopefully that will work for you. good luck.

Fridge not defrosting right water in bottom of freezer then turns to ice.

It sounds like the unit is defrosting, but the drain for the water from the melted ice is plugged. Check that before calling a repairman.

LG GC299BA Fridge working but noisy, freezer broken.

It sound rather like one I used to have (but worse) which was never 100% satisfactory. When it eventually failed we called in a repair man who said it had been faulty since it left the factory.

I advise you to scrap it and but a new one. If you have any similar problems with new equipment, go back to the supplier within the warranty (if you have an extended warranty, then call them out now!).

Freezer not freezing

When was the last time you cleaned the condenser coils? They are either on the bottom of the unit (underneath) behind the grill, or on the back of the refrigerator. Use a refrigerator cleaning brush' (available at most home centers) to do the cleaning, or call an appliance service technician to accomplish this. After that, it could also be the compressor, or the condenser fan (bottom mounted coils), or a 'freon' leak. Call a repairman then!!

Wow avocado green! Didn't know bottom freezer models were made that long ago. Make sure all fans and compressor is running. If all that is running and still not cooling, time to get new Fridge.

Fridge and freezer not working on new Maytag, Help!!

at 5 months old don't try to fix it yourself CALL the store where it was purchased or maytag
you may mess up the warranty if you try to fix it yourself
document all of the calls you make to where and who you spoke with at what time
ask for promises in writing have them fax it to you so you have the promise in hand
