Audio input cable replacement

www.google.com or ask.com or bing.com type your question into the search box. have the make & model # next 2 u on a piece of paper.also type in search box bose companion 3 computer speakers, factory service website. or customer service website

go to local.com in search box type Bose companion 3 computer speakers repairs & parts

if you think you can fix it yourself go to
www.tigerdirect.com and click on computer parts and then on audio input cables for a large selection of audio input cables.

You need to look carefully at your input cables, what type of connector jacks they have at each end and buy the exact same cable that has the exact same jacks an\t each end .
cables there are cheap, usually $1.00,2.00 & 3.00 but they also have expensive cables which are a waiste of your $. why buy a $15.00 cable when on the next page there is a $2.00 cable that will work just fine. It pays to look around for price before you buy.
But if you see a cable that will work, bookmark it so you can get back there, just in case you dont find a cheaper cable.

Tweeter not working??

Since it sometimes gices a sound, and i know the problem when it's not put it totally and does it. I want to know what it does with rca cables, trs cables and xlr cables and what it does and what ut doesn't. The connection inside in the trs and on one pcb , connected to your main pcb with three cables and it could be that one is not connected right. First of all. it's in the Netherland minimal twp years quarantee, since you may expect the speakers go allong min 2 years. Check you consumerrights, before start screwing.
And just measure your cables with a simple ohm meter or buy for 25 euro a cable meter....very easy and the costs ain't a thing.
gr. richard.... With all the cheap speakers and cheap connectors it might just as well beinig the connector inside, i hate them and replace them.

Can the battery be replaced in my#x3-09 Nextar GPS

Actually, it's quite easy to replace:

Take off four screws at the back.
. Between the body and the front bezel, insert a utility knife. The bezel is fixed to the body with tabs. I started from the left hand side from front. The tab is in the center. Careful not to scratch the bezel or the body. Once one tab is open, you can slide the knife or whatever tool you're using to open the rest. Be careful not to scratch.
Once the front bezel comes off, you'll see that the touchscreen is held to the bezel with the help of four tabs. take the touchscreen off.
Next, take the ribbon cable off from behind the screen. You'll have to flip the flap holding the cable open.
The screen is held to the main board with the help of a tape. Don't take it off. Take off three smaller screws which fasten the circuit board to the back body.
Take the antenna off. It's quite easy. It's the same connector that is used for Blue-tooth or wireless antenna on laptops. It'll just flip off.
vii. Next, take the board off from the back plastic body. The circuit board will still be held to the back by two connectors, one (two wire, smaller one) connecting the circuit board to the speaker, and another (larger one, four wires) connecting it to the battery. Both the battery and the speaker are for now fixed to the back plastic body.
viii. Once you've done that, the battery is exposed. Take the battery off (held by two tapes, and some double sided sticky tape to the back body).

The battery is 35mmx55mmx5mm. Buy any 3.7v battery from ebay. That'll cost you about $10, including shipping. The only problem is that on ebay, you might not be able to buy the same connector. Most of the batteries that you get from there also have protection circuitry to protect against overcharging etc. So you'll only have to replace the connectory. For this, take apart the battery from top. Just peel off the green tape. That will expost the connections. Solder them off, and replace the entire chord on the new battery.

The piece that you attach the cable wire is missing on the TV. Can this be replaced so that I can screw on the cable wire?

Hi 30273a,
Yes the connector that was missing was the RG-6 F-connector. It is better to buy the screw type rather than the crimp type because it will needed a crimping tool to connect to your cable wire.
Here is a sample picture of the connector.

jdvillanueva_16.jpg
You must strip the cable wire and ensure that the braided wire around it will be securely attached to the body of the F-connector to have a best quality of picture.

RG-6 F-connector is widely available at your local electronics supply.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

Connect Creative 5.1 A500 speaker system to Phillips DVD 3256

moz-screenshot.jpg 2d65f17.jpg
Just buy two connectors(shown above). Its having two holes upside.
1. Connect the connector to one hole of the other.
2. Connect the audio cable to the dvd.
3. Then connect the connectors to the other side of the audio cable.
4. Lastly, connect the three stereo output cables of the Creative speakers to the three holes of the connector simultaneously.
I have tried this at home with my Creative Inspire M5300 speakers and philips dvd. All the five speakers are working.

HI Cassa

Well, it sound like a bad cables connector, or dust in the IN connector on the sound card, you have to clean carefully with a special spray buy on Radio Shack or Comp-USA. it is for electrical parts (remember). or with a Qtip gently clean the inside connector. Another way is changing the cables for a gold plated connector if available. Good luck, if the sound roaring continue, may be is your power on the SUB of the speakers.
