I guess you have tried switching the speaks left to right to check its the speaker rather than the output to the speaker?

If you have it might be worth (If you are able to) opening up the speaker unit to check the wires are still attached and solid, maybe need a little re-solder is needed as the wires are usually very thin.

nothing is wrong with the woofer the connect is broken at the strain relief and the cable needs to be replaced.
You can replace the connector if you know the pinouts. You will need the connector and the schematic.
you may be able to find the pin outs configuration here.
http://pinouts.ru/
As for the connector this may take a search online.

I dont know how to set it up. I put the green cord in the computer..but theres one black cord and i dont know what to do with it.

There should be ONE stereo miniplug to be connected to the headphones output of the computer, and one power supply plug to be connected to the AC adapter. These speakers do need a power supply, since they have an internal amplifier.

I want to connect the z2300 speakers to an LCD tv. Do I need a special cable?

try to check your speaker if what type of cable your speaker have...your LCD tv i think its a RCA connector, so you have to insert the RCA connector to the output audio label,,,then the cable which is also an RCA output must be connected to a RCA female connector ....again the output the your female connector will depend to what your speaker output have....it its minijack or RCA then the output must be female RCA of mini jack also.

here goes....straight for Mr. Koss

Connect Creative 5.1 A500 speaker system to Phillips DVD 3256

moz-screenshot.jpg 2d65f17.jpg
Just buy two connectors(shown above). Its having two holes upside.
1. Connect the connector to one hole of the other.
2. Connect the audio cable to the dvd.
3. Then connect the connectors to the other side of the audio cable.
4. Lastly, connect the three stereo output cables of the Creative speakers to the three holes of the connector simultaneously.
I have tried this at home with my Creative Inspire M5300 speakers and philips dvd. All the five speakers are working.

Speaker problems

Hello there
Happy Holidays!
well, I suggest 2 things here, you can replace the speakers for a new pair, or see if connector or inside of the failing speakers, to see if the positive cable is connected, or the negative, from that you also check the wire connector end, if is in good condition too.
