It's limited to a certain amount of memory, when that's full, your dictionary is unable to expand.

    PS. I don't mean your phone memory. I mean the allocated memory for that function. IE. txts msgs will allow maybe 20 to be stored. Contacts will maybe allow 200.etc...

    There are many things that come into play, for example if you send lots of Bluetooth files, no matter what they are, they leave dust files behind which don't always delete automatically. But they still take up memory space, so do installed applications etc...

    You could also try a reset using the menu/restore to factory settings. Back-up your phone first.

    However your phone might benefit from a software (firmware) upgrade via Sony Ericsson PC Suite. You can check if there's a newer version of software available for your phone, at the Sony Ericsson website. If you go for it read below:

    Before updating software you should check that there’s a newer version of software available.

    WARNING

    When updating software on Mobs, be sure to:

    HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY INSERTED;

    PUT IT ON GENERAL PROFILE;

    TURN OFF YOUR PIN NUMBER;

    CONNECT YOUR CHARGER TO YOUR MOB AND SWITCH IT ON;

    DO NOT ----- DO NOT ---- TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE UPDATE IS GOING ON;

    THIS CAN TAKE 30 MINUTES OR MORE.

    And obviously don’t unplug the phone from the PC.

    Be patient, you may have to do a restart or two on your mob afterwards. Even remove the battery to get it going again (not recommended). But give it plenty of time.

    It is also wise not to use your PC while updating software, just in case the PC freezes.

    If the PC freezes during an update, you’re up the creek without a paddle...

    I did an update on a Sony Eric 810i it took nearly two hours.

    More... Your phone turns itself on and off, sometimes more than once while updating software, you should leave it well alone during the update.

When I am writing a text message the phone starts predicting words. I just want to send a simple email without any ''help''

Hi!

If you are seeing the T9 icon on your screen, this is the T9 Text input feature of your phone. It act's like a built-in dictionary for commonly used in a sentence.

To disable this, while on writing mode, press and hold * key to disable text input.

Predictive text

Hi,

I had this problem and it was very annoying. What you have to do is..... create a new text message, enter the text that is annoying (mine was is coming up as 47). When you type the word and it comes up with the annoying one, select the word that you wanted and enter a space, and do it again and again (you can do this in the same text message - it can take up to 20 goes and eventually, the dictionary recognises that you actually wanted "is".

Probs with text

Go to Settings->Other->Text Input->Personal Dictionary or Word Completion. If you have Personal Dictionary enabled, any predictive text words you've used in the past are still stored. With Word completion on, your Razr is auto-completing words from the Personal Dictionary. If you like to type the words in yourself, letter by letter, just turn these settings off. You can also want to reset your Personal Dictionary.
