After removing the two screws on the bottom, use a 1/16" wide screwdriver at the (on/off switch side) of the large holes (not the actual screw holes) to pry the back case away. The cord receptacle is part of the front of the shaver and will go with it.

If you look carefully before prying apart you can see a relief to aid insertion of the small pry tool.

The batteries are soldered into place. You will need a soldering iron and electrical solder to replace them. Unsolder the old batteries from the circuit board and solder in the new batteries

If you are not able to do this repair yourself, shaveroutlet.com can do it for you. See information at the link below

I need Guidance on opening the case up to check/replace battery. This is a Remington WPG-250 and doesn't have any screws on the outside.

There are no screws holding this together only 8 locking plastic clipbs (4 on each side). To open I started near the battery charger end and used a flat tip screwdriver to gently pry open the case. Repeat on the other side. Unit has 2 Sanyo NIMH AAA batteries (welded tabs in series). I can't determine if these are regular NIMHs or enloops.

I own a Braun Electric Shaver Model 6525 Flex Ultra Speed. I plug it in and nothing! I am pretty sure the rechargeable battery needs replacing and I don't know how to open the razor to replace it. Also the...

if the shaver is DEAD and the green light no longer illuminates when you plug it in, the circuit board is almost certainly bad. The circuit board will burn out if you run the shaver from the batteries for a long time after the batteries have stopped charing properly.
you can purchase a new circuit board which has the batteries alrady on it. it just needs to be dropped in place inside the shaver.
you will find this part at shaveroutlet.com. see link below

How do I disassemble to replace battery?

Replacing the batteries is not an easy job. You need to have a special Torx screwdriver to undo the screws.

The batteries are soldered onto the Control Board (it's unfortunately not just a case of cracking open the case and putting in batteries in an instant).

It may be worth speaking to your local Philips Service Center (refer to www.philips.com)

I usually recommend if you're replacing a shaver to spend a little more $$'s to get one that is mains and rechargeable so that when the batteries die, the shaver is still useable.

Your shaver should also be a Mains shaver - if you plug it in and it works full power immediately you've got a workaround. I usually recommend if you're replacing a shaver to spend a little more $$'s to get one that is mains and rechargeable so that when the batteries die, the shaver is still useable.

How do I open the case to change the battery?

There are 2 removable plastic plates on either side of the power entry connector> Pry these off with a knife and remove the 2 screws. Next slide the razor out of it's case. The batteries are soldered in.

Electric Shaver will not charge

There are 4 small philips head screws deeply recessed on the rear of the razor. Unscrew these and the back half of the case just lifts off. Unsolder the battery leads and fit new battery pack.
